You do right not sending anything in! Have a look at your credit files, send in £2 and apply in writing with your last 6yrs addresses. Go for both Equifax & Experian to be sure.....

Sorry dude I am confused, why wouldnt you send the cheques?

If you haven't sent any for almost a year and no1 has asked for money then you just leave it! The actual CCJ itself will fall off your credit file after 6yrs, assuming one was put on in the first place. Thats why I say have a look before you do anything with the creditors of the estate.....

haha, what I mean is, two years ago, the court told me that I would get a CCJ, and if I didnt pay I COULD get an attachment of earnings!

Now thats all well, but knowing these type of things I will get a latter advising I am behind, demanding backdated payments, at which point I am not sure I could afford that, anyway at that point would they be able to do a AOE?

No, if they get back to you now then simply apply to get it set-off and appeal it in which time you save like mad and make one offer to clear the debt.

Can I ask, how much was the holiday? It can't be that hard to pay back surely? This is the thing with the ex and the in laws isn't it? If not sorry, read a lot of posts lately lol

Mate I told you earlier the only way it vanishes like that is if you've applied and been rejected, to stop you reapplying.

It usually happens (you'll love this) when they offer you an overdraft, say at account opening, and then you decline it. They will then remove the facility altogether until you can reapply (i.e. eligible - 6mths).

Therefore the reason I assume it has gone from your i/b is because you recently applied and got turned down?

I don't think this is the case, because the Overdraft option has always been there. I've applied a few times before and it's never disappeared. I applied last month, but the Overdraft option stayed and only disappeared a few days ago.

Yes the ex and her nan, basically the holiday was £550, then I had problems with my hotel so they paid for me to move into their hotel (£100) then she claimed for parking tickets, days off to attend court etc, oh and some stuff my ex purchased out of a catalogue (which when she left she left with me) - she used it for over a year, I offered the her half the amount of the cost to sell on now - anyway she tried to get over £1300 outa me, judge threw alot out, made me pay just over £900

Yes but you must have applied within a 6mth period of being declined. So lets say you applied 10th May and again 21st August, it will remove it to stop you applying when you are not eligible.

It happened to me mate when I first joined them. I got it back by arguing for my overdraft to be put on - eventually they buckled, as I say, I know my bank managers personal email address.... :D

Mate what a carry on - what an awful ex to have! I mean, usually these things go amicably but to take it that far is a little xtreme! lol

To be fair, i'd be looking to offer the creditors a fraction of this if they come looking for you, like £300 cash as a here and now payment, plus removal of CCJ - but before any of that i'd get a copy of my credit file cos in all honesty you don't actually know what is showing :rotfl:
