Evening all
Well, I've sent my appeal letter of to Sygma....citing payment history on all accounts as well as references to my good character..CRB checks, Traffic Commisioner checks when I got my PCV operators licence a few years ago (had to be financially stable).
Also mentioned my lengthy history with Natwest, no charges etc, lots of D/d's.
Just wait and see now...bet they still say no but wasn't wasting a search.
Had it been a lady underwriter would have also mentioned willy size :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Natwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0

Hi again NID, thanks again, it's actually making me feel like there is a bit of hope about my situation. :A
Anyway in regards your advice, i havent appealed the natwest decision but i plan to, is it too late now bearing in mind i applied in April? I applied online and didnt get a application reference can i still appeal?? Also would it be best to write to them, or just go into a branch?
I'll post my situation in the other thread!!:beer:Newbie alert...please be gentle0 -
Hi Guys and girls
First ever post despite lurking for a long long time.
Thanks to advice obtained on here I now have a Vanquis card with £500 limit,Jacamo £300 limit and a Barclays account with Visa debit.
Have 2 defaults on Experian and 3 on Equifax, reason being that one default has gone on twice.
Have moved 3 times in last few years so this is how it looks,
default at address A not registered, moved out so registered at address B a few months later. Had one letter from a firm called Cabot financial, ignored and moved 2 years later to address c. Last year moved to my current address D. Default now registered at address B and C
Applied for Barclaycard initial and they referred to me to my credit report so checked them both and found this double default for one debt.
Is there any way of removing this dual entry?
Haven't received any further communication from Cabot but notice the accounts are updated monthly with both agencies adding around £20 per month each time. 2 years and 6 months to run on defaults.
All advice greatfully received as I am clueless.0 -

Hi Alan and welcome aboard
Vanquis and Jacamo are good choices to start to rebuild your credit rating. Used wisely, increases are regular and although the Vanquis APR os very high I love them for providing a second chance.
The matter regarding the duplicate default entry...I have exactly the same on my Equifax from Cabot..very similar as also registered at different addresses as well and with an ever increasing balance.
I hhave just joined the Equifax site for a free trial, was using checkmyfile for Equifax and Call Credit but they are not too good. E-mailed them a while back and they basically didn't want to know fobbing me off with "yes it's a legal entry"
Going to raise an online dispute with Equifax directly now to attempt to get it removed but although I'm no thicko not sure on how to word it.
Will await further replies to your post and this one..N-i-D where are you
Anyway, have a look around, we are all a friendly bunch I thinkNatwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0
