I applied online.
Personal bankers have the authority to override certain declines and the account review option shows all available lending.Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

Just the usual 'We use Credit Scoring and you did not meet our level of acceptance.'' I appealed the CC decline, sent in CC statements, a copy of my credit report, but they still said no.0 -
Another thing to find out is what your behaviour score is. Now when I applied for my overdraft I had a BS of 32 and defaults registered againist me ( fraud )
Now, I never knew that I had these fraudulent items on my credit file however HSBC still offered me an overdraft. I assume it was on my BS even though it was low. I have been told that it is not reccommend to apply for lending with a BS lower that 40!Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

What's happening with Next? Do you still have an account? They keep changing my limit too.0 -
I just phoned HSBC Borrowing and Lending Department. He said the overdraft was declined on Credit Scoring. He said that the overdraft cannot be appealed, and that the next step would be to go to my local branch and talk to them, but giving me an overdraft would be totally at their discretion.0
