Just got off the phone with Aqua to activate my new cc. Starting credit limit is £500. Wasn't expecting this tbh, thought they'd ease me in with a cool £200 credit limit or something. I'm not complaining though :p.

Congrats on your new card!! Good starting limit too!
Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
    Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08

I just phoned Littlewoods. They said I was declined because I'm not on electoral role. I said I am and both credit reports show I am. They said it's most likely because I opted out of being shown on the electoral role or something.

They said send them a bank statement and they'll open an account with a £100 limit.

I'll send one off on tuesday. :)

Wonder what happened with the electoral role though.

just shows how weird it all is,credit.ive got 6 sdg cats and no e/roll,when i got them

Just thought some of you would like to know. My Bankruptcy is now off my credit files. It has been a hard six years and over the past few years using this forum and more recently keeping updated with the sub prime thread I have received some very good tips and advice on how to rebuild my credit status!

    Regards
    Steven

    Nice one Steven
I’ve still got a year before my bankruptcy drops from my files can’t wait.
I’ve got load’s info from this and the previous threads it’s a shame a lot of the
old posters aren’t here anymore sharing there progress not regularly anyway.

Are you going try for any of the mainstream cards now be interested to know if you do there must be a few people now who have ditched there subprime cards for more regular lenders by now we all can’t stay subprime for ever:D.

Nothing new for me just racking up those green zeros and managing my accounts like a responsible grown up;).

    All the best Guys

Do you need to wait 3 months before re-applying for Aqua?

  • just checked my paperwork on my bos card as ive just paid the balance off.
seems the cash and cheque apr plus transfers is 27% same as purchases, and it always has been.
thats not bad for sub prime.think ill transfer vanquis over instead of leaving it clear.
    vanquis 49%, ouch.
    should read my paperwork more
