It's stupid, you get Cap 1, & Aqua which I get declined for

I get HSBC O/D & X2 Littlewoods ( SDG ) accounts you get declined.

Does anyone know, how easy it easy to get a HSBC credit card? How long would you have ha to have a Current account with them? I have had them for about 5 years.

Do they do pre approval credit card still? haven't had one of them from them

What was your credit scores before you applied?

It is mad. I also was told on the phone by Lloyds TSB yesterday that I could not have a silver account.

I went into my branch today and told them what PhoneBank said, and the guy just logged on his computer, and manually changed it to a silver account for me. He just said it happens a lot with PhoneBank and to come into the branch if PhoneBank ever say no. I was going to ask him for an overdraft, but I thought that'd be pushing it.

Anyway, great customer service in branch from Lloyds TSB. He even registered my iPhone there and then for phone insurance.

Going to order a new card now to replace the horrible green one.

I just phoned Littlewoods. They said I was declined because I'm not on electoral role. I said I am and both credit reports show I am. They said it's most likely because I opted out of being shown on the electoral role or something.

They said send them a bank statement and they'll open an account with a £100 limit.

I'll send one off on tuesday.

Wonder what happened with the electoral role though.

Just got off the phone with Aqua to activate my new cc. Starting credit limit is £500. Wasn't expecting this tbh, thought they'd ease me in with a cool £200 credit limit or something. I'm not complaining though .

Just wrote a letter to littlewoods, attaching a bank statement and a copy of my Electoral Role information from Equifax. Hopefully they'll open an account for me.

Just thought some of you would like to know. My Bankruptcy is now off my credit files. It has been a hard six years and over the past few years using this forum and more recently keeping updated with the sub prime thread I have received some very good tips and advice on how to rebuild my credit status!

Well thet are talking crap, I wasn't on the Electoral Roll when I applied.
