When applying for the barclays account online, I filled out the application, it did a credit/fraud search, then asked me multiple questions such as what credit card did I open in April and what was the limit, I passed this bit (it said I don't need to send ID to them now I've done that section). It seas i can still be declined though. Now I'm itching to know if I got accepted declined. I've got 9 searches in the last 3 months and 20 searches in the last 6 months, so not sure Barclays will look to favourably on that.

Would they have straight out declined me if I failed credit scoring?

I got declined by Barclays last year, really thought I had it too as went through full application online, got e-mail confirming that I would hear within 5 days, ID confirmed from questions on credit file then got decline.
Shabbey accepted me online, then mailed to say sod off basic account only please ring if acceptable. I duly rang, thought it would be ok purely for green zero's, advisor assured me everything would arrive within days, 8 months later I'm still waiting :mad:
