Just emailed First Direct!
''Dear First Direct,
Regarding my recent phone calls to customers service and the problems that I have had with applying for a current account with you, I would be very grateful if you could remove the search that you have left on my Credit Report.
So you can find my application and look at the account notes to see what trouble I've had with applying, I've provided the following information:
Name: xxxxx
Address: xxxxxx
D.O.B.: xxxxxx
Please contact me to confirm that this search on my credit report has been removed!
Kind Regards
XXXXXXX''

Edit - why is it saying this when I view my report with Experian.... Shown below is your full Experian credit report, this has been created on 13 May 2009.0 -

I applied yesterday for Grattan who belong to Freemans I believe.
Anyway I got turned down, they checked Experian BTW, so I decided to try Great Universal, this time I never requested a catalogue, I requested an account and they gave me a limit of £750. :j
I don't understand why Grattan turned me down, I wasn't going to buy anything from them, I just want them to report green 0's!!

I would just like to say, this has to be my fav thread as I love the humour and banter. Over 5 years ago to a large degree credit cards were a big addiction:o Eventually I had to go bankrupt, it felt very strange for a while not having a card about!
The situation now, my credit file had an inpact on my hubbies credit files, he now has an Aqua Card with a £2400 limit, a Vanquis Card with a £1200 limit and finally a Capital One, although he has had this a few years. When he first got this card the apr was around 34%, looking at his recent statements; I have noticed Capital 1 have now reduced the apr to 20%.(just under)
The thing with me I still have the addiction, my hubby got me an additional card on 2 of the cards and I hate to admit I have run them up abit. It scares me to be honest, I myself have not applied for any cards but access is there with my hubbies cards.
I am now doing the snowballing thing by paying as much off the highest rated apr credit card. On the Aqua card the last interest showing was £41:eek: Yet the card isn't even up to its limit, have been looking at the Flybe card and in a few month's time, it'd be good if my hubby got approved one and he could do a balance transfer. PLUS, cancel the sub prime cards, the Capital 1 isn't too bad at almost 20%, almost half the interest.
It's weird how credit works, I have bankruptcy on my file from 5 years+ ago, yet I got a Marisota account, went on their site with my debit card to buy some pants. The screen then came back with a 'Welcome to Marisota and your personal account' the limit was £80. It is now £2000, yet it doesn't interest me a catalogue.
I also have a contract with Vodafone, guess they went off the last 2 years excellent history on Experian:p I have learnt alot by having to go bankrupt but wish my addiction for little shiny cards would vanish.

For those that do not know marisota is a JD Williams branded account. They are reknowned for giving accounts out, likewise for increasing limits.
You can use this account on any of the JD microsites. http://www.marisota.co.uk/shop/?
