Most catalogues make account dormant and then you kinda reapply, like a mini application.... this basically is an excuse for them to do a CRA on you.
Yes, very true my friend left an Empire catalogue dormant, she then phoned up to do an order and they said we will have to do a fresh credit check:eek: Because her circumstances had changed she got a decline!0 -
I just got a report from Equifax having only been getting them from Experian for awhile. On review of it I was pretty shocked/confused to see my three year old, settled default is no longer showing with them
. In a way it kind of made sense as why else would O2 have accepted me for 2 contracts with them within 6 months.
Now, with my credit file being not bad/pretty good if you don't include the default and a few late payments, I couln't help but apply for Flybe as I know they only search with EQ. Although as usual I received the "we will write to you with a decision" quote. I was also tempted to try for a Barclaycard ( think I'm going to join the SOS club soon) but didn't see any major benefits over my Capital One Classic.
Here's to hoping for an acceptance letter from Flybe anyway.....:o0 -
Ok, well that's put me in my place. Just been turned down for a catalogue account.
As of now, no more applications. I'm gonna wait out for another 4 months before applying again.
Edit : Sorry, i forgot to thank you guys for the info you provided above.0 -
