I applied for a £100 overdraft online with HSBC for 7 months (minimum time). I was declined. I don't understand how I can get Aqua, Vanquis, CapitalOne, Littlewoods, o2 contract, but not a £100 overdraft.... weird!

perhaps your searches are mounting up effect.the o/d will be another.or just the amount of apps in short space of time.

    check your files.
but it looks like your equifax may be clean.most people you tried probably used experian.
barclaycard initial may well accept you aswell, they check equifax i think

They told me to sod off last week!

I would check my files but I don't believe in giving money to companies that compile information about you without your permission based on little more than hearsay :D

I get a free credit report every year from annual credit report. Last time I got that it picked up a default that Lloyds TSB has been ordered to remove by a judge so I then managed to get that removed (and £100 compo as well).

Every year for free is enough for me (though with all the credit accounts I have recently got I expect loads of green zeros on my next one)

EDIT oh and a green (1) from JD for one month grrrrrr

any luck with the job hunting bigbum ?

    Hey V-M .

I'm not actually job-hunting. The agencies i'm with don't have any work at the mo, so i'm living off my (meagre) savings. Currently watching TMF Uk top 40 run-down. LOL

How's trix? You at work right now?

Hi All. I think I have made an almighty muck up. New Cap1 card with small £100 limit. Last month all was fine, Month 2 I paid for an online sub in dollars, and then some petrol. Clearly my dollars conversion was off, and I went £3 over my limit. Charged £12 over limit fee... I only noticed today - this happened a week ago, but didn't think I was over, so hadn't checked. I have immediately paid £20 to bring me back under limit, but I am worried I have mucked up any chance of a limit increase etc. Has anyone any thoughts as this was a genuine mistake....

They usually don't increase the limit on the 4th statement for people who went over their limit during the first 4 months. You might want to ring and explain to them.
