    Their application line is closed now. Not sure if its worth applying or not. I could just make a few £500 transfers to the account and back to get £5 a month. It's another search, and I already have HSBC and Lloyds. HSBC I don't use anymore. Only keeping it open for green 0's.

    Why don't you try first direct. Appranatly you can apply for a current account and credit card in the same application and be credit searched once. As I have been told.
    But would like to know if students can apply?

    You haven't followed this thread every day. :rotfl: I applied for First Direct a week or two ago. Got declined because I applied within 6 months of my last application which was also declined.

    Is it true that mbna will have a limit to having 5 cards from them?

    Also apparenly there is a limit for the number of card you can have from sgyma? does anyone have a fiqure?
