Ok mate will get right on that to see what the cra's say, after all they can only say no. Just a normal drafted letter to the cra's then?

Yes mate, even an email from the online service would suffice - just to enquire to have it taken off - if they say no they will explain why!

I have the emails still so I can always use them to confirm that they said they would do it. But they keep promising me it will be removed by such a time and it never gets done and ive been waiting months. Just was wondering if I should keep being patient.

    Whats MCOL btw?

Its collections that deal with it but I can never email them direct. I just have been emailing customer services who forward it to collections, who send it back to customer services to send back to me.

Ok, then revise my last post:

send a copy of emails requesting removal as per email dated XX & email dated XX and then politely say the last thing they want is for you take enforceability action therough the small claims court. MCOL = small claims online..

Sent this via secure email to call credit

Hi I was advised to email you to remove the following non defaulted account due to the debt being over 5 years old as in scotland and its been over 5 years from last payment and last contact.

Account TypeTelecommunications Supplier Account holder Name Mr Paul xxxx Account Address xxxxx
    Date of Birth xxxx
    Opened14 November 2003 Last Updated 01 March 2009
Account Terms Monthly repayments Payments Started 14 November 2003
Opening Balance£0 Current Balance £252 Lifetime Change £252
    Worst Status 5
Either the payment due wasn't made for 5 months, or the account is 5 months in arrears.

This account is more than '5' months in arrears and is over the 5 years statue barred rules. Please can you remove this from your files and if not please reply with the reasoning for not doing so.

    Thanks in advance

    Paul

P.s. The request is because this debt is now Statue Barred under Scottish law

    Now I await their reply

I have fired another email including this off. I wont hold my breath but I am pretty sure they will do it eventually.

At least I should be recieiving my Cap One card by the weekend to give me something to be going along with till they decide to remove it.

Not heard from Vanquis yet though. Shame I dont know why Aqua turned me down whether it was this note or my 2 defaults grrr,
