get wasted ,any jobs with clients for o/h.lol
given the choices i see youve picked the best one.
    whats the normal job??????????

ive been off ill myself for a few months, but still earning.
done three jobs and not sure how i managed it.seemed fine at the time.
couldnt do 9 to 5 type work though.

    ?

I deffo picked best job mate! But all good things must come to an end..... my normal job is in close protection but taking a break and doing property protection while my team is with the client. I usually head up a shift - the pay is better when on the normal duties but that means awful shifts and no weed lol - gutted!

sorry haven't read everything but can you briefly explain what is wrong..... or start me in the right direction with a link lol -

Long story short: I did have a Barclaycard & Capital One card. I paid them both off in full (have proof), wrote a letter saying "thanks & bye, close my a/c down" which I sent recorded delivery along with my chopped up card; I cut the chip up. I moved from that address but because I was hiding from a psycho ex, I didn't register @ my new address because I wasn't paying rent (living with rellies) and there were 3 of them living there so it didn't affect their council tax. I was working so didn't need to claim benefits etc from there.

Anyhoo, I got turned down for credit recently, shouldn't have been cos I only have my overdraft with a bank I've been with more than 8 years and it's all fine, and a mobile broadband contract; got turned down for a mobile so am PAYG. Got credit report and I now apparently owe more than my limit on both B'card and Cap. One so have sent note of correction for both to Experian and also my old address been receiving threatning letters from debt collection agencies; Capquest but they stopped, some others now I can't remember who, but they have not replied to me asking them for more info on the debts and to prove it was me. I live 300 miles away for a start.

Found out these debts been run up in 2006 so shall I just sit tight 3 more years then write them a Statute Barred letter? At no point in my recent correspondence have I admitted the debt as I genuinely have NONE other than my manageable overdrat which isn't in dispute or an issue. I want to get a mortgage in a few years and could do without this sort of thing on my file.

My old address is a flat and the mail is in an open, communal area so it could have been easily done.

    Good morning to all
  • keep you eyes open i think they are about to accept apps.

reason is ive had a big argument with them today becuase they reduced my limit by 50%.and took away cash allowance too.
the account was opened 01/09 with 400 limit.
i usually spend 150 ish on it and pay 60% off.
last month i paid in full, but then put 120 back on.
got a letter today with all the usuall gumf about reviewing my account and amount of debt etc.
spoke to customer services and they admitted ,after a heated discuusion it was becuase i hadnt used it as mucn as they would like.
i had to point out my overall debt had gone down and available remained the same on my cra's.and that they are clean and in order.
said i would close immiediatley if they didnt re consider.they wouldnt,"discission is final".
they must be desperate for new customers who will max the cards out or just out of doe.
    paid in full and closed.

When you close your account always asked for proof in writing and for your credit file to updated to say closed.

    You'd send this letter: #69

It pretty much tells them what to do. Like it or lump it, they have to remove the data because the debt has, if you like, run its course and is unenforceable. However, some CRA's will argue that they want to leave it on your file, in which case you issue a s.10 Cease & Desist letter (here: #38 )

I'm sure your in your bed the now NID but just to clarify. Even if they are not chassing the debt can I still sent the statue barred letter and ask them to remove my late payments and (on other accounts) get them to remove the defaults? If this is correct it means I can remove my 'bads' from my CF 1 year early (in Scotland)

The other credit cards I've paid off (but which haven't been used etc again, so have a Zero balance) are on 0 and say Satisfied. I'll get them closed, other than 1 for a certain store I shop in, because I am going to start using it and paying off in full so my credit rating starts to get repaired.

However, how do I do this, realising now that I'm at a different address from the one I was registered to?
