Yea I know mate - luckily though I tend to do 6 nights - 6 off - 3 days - 3 off - 6 nights etc etc so works good. still do the 12hr shifts though but never the back shift as you cant do anything before work or after - its the worse one! arghhhhhh
Your lucky, I do a 6 day, 60 hour week with only 1 day off, usually a Sunday.
That is spent with the family, sunday roast etc...

My hourly rate is not that good, so I have to 'work the hours' to feed the bank account.

    ;)

Do you work in security by any chance? My rate isn't great but I chose to do the easier role as less stress (also less money) but my job is easy! I sit in a car all night on laptop and watch posh people houses - well castles LOL. Get about £15 an hour - not great but pays the mortgage!

    Yes, similar.

I do portering/concierge work and mainly have to sit at a reception desk in residential apartments.
The money in no way as good as yours....far from it at £6.50 ph.

But then again I am not SIA certified unlike yourself - as my employers see no need for it as my role as a Desk Porter/Reception - I cannot command the hourly rate that you are certified to expect, plus there is already Security onsite!

    Wanna swop jobs? ;)
