I ditched VM a few months ago. Had TV, Phone and BB from them. Was paying £65-£70ish for TV XL with V+ and multiroom, BB XL and phone XL. I now pay

Sky - Entertainment pack with sky+ and multiroom - £31.25
BT - Anytime plan approx £16
    O2 - Broadband - £7.34

New total is £54.59 a month. Only downside is I only get 5Mbit broadband now but as thats the speed virgin would throttle my 20Mbit down to as soon as I tried to use it I think I can manage :D

I have Sky HD (£17.50 for 2 mix) and pay £21.50 to VM for line rental and 10mb broadband. I can get a BT line installed for free and I am eligible for BT Basic which lets me have line rental for £4.50pm. I can then get BB from Sky or Orange (I am a pay monthly customer) for £5pm for 8mb.

May be worth talking to sky about the phone line. I've heard of them doing free line rental offers and the like which would be better than BT basic

But I would still need to pay to get the line installed.

Not yet. Pretty light spending today, just ordered some seed potatoes from a site we used to have to send postal orders to as they didn't accept solo.
