Wow that really is taking the p##s... No wonder a lot of stores won't take internet vouchers. Another case of the few spoiling it for the masses. There is no need to run outside

That really is not on. Some people are really spoiling it for others. I don't ever use internet vouchers anyway. If I had known then what I know now . . .

this is so annoying, i only found out about the old coupons policy last week and went searching for some around the house. i used a few in tesco's the next day, which went through self scan successfully but then at the weekend, the tills wouldn't accept any!
the people modifying the internet vouchers are unbelieveable, the lengths some people will take, tut tut.

Sent hubby shopping today with three vouchers (£2 pampers, 50p milk and 25p flour) all taken OK. Didnt tell him that they may refuse them!
Only have a few odd ones to use up now - just need to butter up my nice young sales assistants first (one wants to join police and the other is training to be a mechanic!). Bet they both talk about this mad woman who fancies them rotten!!!!!???????0 -
I posted about this last week when I tried to use my coupons from the daily mail (all magazine coupons) was told by the till op a message came up on her tillscreen(?)that tesco's had lost thousands on those coupons alone this past week and are now refusing them unless the products are bought.( Tesco's Purley )0

I got £20 off my shopping at Tesco at the weekend and I didn't buy the products - I guess it just depends on the store0

The main problem with internet vouchers is people photocopying them, so some stores will only accept them if they're in colour, but coupon policy is decided by store management (not nationally)
At the store where my wife is a cashier they will accept up to 50% of your shopping in coupons for products you haven't purchased, provided that:
1) They aren't Tesco coupons
2) That branch of Tesco sells that particular product
3) You don't present more than one of each particular voucherThanks to all who post constructively.

I bought a £3 voucher for Mars off ebay with a huggies coupon for £1. I was annoyed when i closely inspected them as they had obviously been "professionally" copied from an original. the paper was not glossy as i have had originals of these coupons in the past. I dont hand in internet printed coupons as i find most stores dont take them probably cos some print multiple copies. I do print them out thought and return to the particular manufacturer and say that the stores i go to would not accept them for all i had bought the product. they then usually send an original coupon in return, which i will not have hassell with.Just about to give up!0

I've been today and used self serve till with Somerfield vouchers (£15 in latest magazine) all went through fine. I had a load more but did not want to push my luck, as the other day a quick SA saw me using them and made a fuss and took them off my transaction.I work for TUI Group of Companies. My companies ATOL/ABTA numbers are 2524 / D5299. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it but Atol numbers can be checked on the Civil Aviation Authority website. I'm getting mixed messages from different stores - one yesterday would only accept up to 10% of my total purchases and one today (Altrincham) said they would only accept one coupon for goods not purchased - but I get the impression the policy also varies from SA to SA.0
