:T:T good find! not that it matters for that price but did it come with a screen protector?

Hi, no just the silicone sleeve.
  • Have double the difference rules changed? (Please don't shoot me if they have!) Bought a cordless Phillips phone today SEL stated half price £49.99 but offer expired 27/12/09. Paid £99.99. Customer service assistant and manager argued that as it was an offer that had expired they would give me the phone at the reduced price but I hadn't been overcharged!! I said I clearly had been overcharged as I had paid £99.99 for the phone when the label stated £49.99. Got a refund (which was really cutting my nose off to spite my face as I need the phone) but rang Dundee twice. Told once that they thought the manager was wrong but it was managers discretion (thought it was policy) and rang again to be told that as I had gone through self serve double the difference does not apply as I was responsible for noting the prices as I scanned the items. Have e-mailed customer servce and cc to Sir Terry. Anyone had similar?

No, policy hasn't changed. SS doesn't matter and certainly not at managers discretion. You should have got DtD. Not sure where you stand with this one, having already accepted a refund.

BTW, If I think something may be a DtD, I never go through SS, just so they can't say, you went through SS!

hi, ive just found this thread hope you dont mind me asking, but is it difficult to get DTD back? ive never done it before, and im a little shy, if so example i took an item that was meant to be £10 but was charged £20 what do i say then? "please now double the difference" lol, is that wot u guys say?

sorry to sound a bit dumb

I bought the wii active more game. On the shelf and on the game itself £15. On checking the receipt on way out the store noticed I`d been charged £23.77. Went back to the cashier who said I had to go to customer service. She checked the shelf and came back and refunded twice the difference. Game actual cost £8.77. Cheapest wii game for me so far!

Would be worth a trip back to the store to check the SS tills as the ones at my local all have the DTD policy on the front of the tills.

I got told about this one last night, not had time to go down today. In the free newspaper they have at the end of the checkout it advertises the Wii Fit Plus for £17 ish but doesn't say it is the solus, ie not with the board. Someone at our local store got the board and everything plus double the difference. Basically walked away with £90 of kit and over £140.
