Just been in our local Tesco (Billingham Extra) and the value irish beef mince (fresh not frozen) is meant to be £1.21 but scanned at 50p :T

Also got charged twice for a half price syrup pudding so got double money back (£2.48) and free pud :T:T xxx

Schloer on offer in Tresco at 2 for £1.82 for the white grape and 2 for £1.78 for the red. This was on the end of an aisle.

but on the shelf where the drinks are it still shows as £1.99 bogof.

Got charged £1.99 so customer services refunded me the 17p x 2 = 34p over charge.

not a huge saving but every little helps.

I've been reading this thread and notice some CS actually OFFER the dtd - I've never been offered dtd when I've been overcharged - obviously my store doesn't know about it! Where can I check the fine print?
I'm playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order!

The staff probably know about DTD. It's just that many of them resent giving it.

The 'fine print' is on a big blue board on the wall behind C/S desk

I does DTD the work on not getting clubcard points at the till? I had 2 extra points vouchers that wouldn't scan at self service as it said I didn't qualify. I would think that yoghurt is a dairy product and if the spend on another one is £8 or more a single £8 item qualifies lol.
CS said fine I did no arguments just wondering should i have asked for 500 point s rather than 250?

Does anyone know if you have to hand the money over before you can reclaim on DTD? (ie, if you notice the overcharge and they do a credit)

perhaps I should explain - DD was buying the outfit for £10.00 offer, they charged her full price, was nearly in tears as she did not have enough money to pay for the full price (£21.00), they refunded her at the till. When I went back in to question DTD (because she was so upset) they said it was not applicable because she had not been overcharged.

They were correct to refuse dtd.

You gotta pay the over price, then 'notice when you checked your receipt that you had been overcharged' and go to Cust services desk.

Someone will explain the legal gobbledygook wrt ... invitation, offer, sale etc, but in esence they were within their rights.
