Hi, I'm just reading about Tesco's DTD policy. I recently purchased a bottle of their half price Bailey (was £18, now £9), however when I got home I noticed I was charged the full price. I called head office up, and they said to go back and get a refund of the difference. When I asked them about DTD, they said this does not apply to offers! Does anyone know anything about this?0

Bullocks.
Applies to everything...unless it specifically says that it doesn't [if that makes sense]0 -

They are taking the Michael! You are entitled to double the difference = £18 = free booze! If they don't agree in-store, point out the blue board that they seem to forget about. Don't be fobbed off!I love a nice juicy "kebab"...0 -
Bought 2 Terry's Chocolate Oranges yesterday on an OOD BOGOF offer.
They were £2.40 each, but the new offer of 3 for £5 kicked in on a double purchase, so got a £1.80 discount.
CSA must have been very confused - gave me a DTD of £6???
Still trying to work out how he got to that figure, but I wasn't complaining!!!0 -
I have just spoken head office at Tesco's, and yes, i should get DTD! Apparently the store are refusing - however they are not allowed to. Head office said if any problems then get the store to call the head office. Apparently stores try to avoid this policy - but they are not allowed to! There are apparently no exclusions within the DTD policy - although the stores will make them up. Thanks all for your help!0

Its about time then that Tesco informed ALL stores this and retrains them on DTD. You would think its their own personal money the way they make up all the excuses not to give you it. They try to make you feel like a criminal when you argue the difference about it.0 -

Just binned a letter from Sir Terry from a couple of years ago apologising for making me feel like a criminal when I got overcharged
Its the managers who need retraining-CS staff will be following what they say rather than HO policy.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

My husband purchased the new call of duty at just gone midnight this morning, along with singstar take that. Which should have meant that COD came down to £25 (as advertised in newspapers) but they charged us full price £39.70. They said to return today to be refunded the difference as they had heard of the offer but couldn't find it (and probably couldn't be bothered at that time in the morning!
So my question is, am I intitled to double the difference back?? I can't find any actual rules about this.
Thanks0 -
