    Worth a try :D

I've already got an iron, blu-ray player, glasses, pasta sauce, custard, Playmobil, Mega Bloks, Hoegaarden, cleaning products, toiletries, clothes for me & kids and some nice facial products but I fear I'm going to need a long list of other things once the OH decides what he's taking from the house. I've got a lot of stuff to do me for ages but unfortunately he bought the day-to-day things like iron & ironing board, mop & bucket, deep fat fryer, kettle, toaster. Oh joy

Unfortunately these glitches seem to be store specific and I'm going to have a bullseye on my back if I go to my big local store and test scan many more things! Anyone in my neck of the woods had any joy yet as you all seem very quiet?

    Bluray player ?

Yes, Ts had a £70-ish Sony blu-ray player a month or so ago. Not exactly a glitch but it was a great price when I saw it in-store and used some of my DTD gift cards to pay for it :o

Poor you caz, he'd have to be a real !!!!!! to take the toaster an kettle wouldn't he, when you've got the kids as well
Wouldn't let my other half have a single thing when we last split up and he didn't bloomin' well dare ask either!

Well the only thing is that me and/or my family have bought the majority of the expensive stuff like table & chairs, fridge/freezer, kids furniture and all the kids clothes & toys. The stuff he might take isn't as expensive but when added up could be a nightmare. Can borrow gardening stuff from the neighbours if he takes any of it then I can look for a bargain in the sales. Thankfully my bro bought me a kettle for my birthday (intuition?) and I've been stockpiling other things just in case but the biggest thing that even Ts can't glitch on is a house & job ..... unless I buy up these glasses & Mega Bloks and have a car boot sale!
  • OMG Ive been trouted for the first time ever, I saw the little steps activity walker in the toy ailse upstairs sel £25, it was then in the clearance section with sel £12.50 so of course I bought it and was charged £25, off I go, after checking sel for camera purposes, to cs to be met by....take me to the sel snotty attitude and Ill honour that price like she was doing me a favour. I pointed out the policy on that great blue board at which she said "not with this love as it has an expiry date of the 11/7 we legally can refuse" I asked where it stated that on policy. I was told I should check the sel... so I now have to get on my knees to the bottom shelf of the store to look at their small print!!!! She was adamant and dtd refused :eek::eek: I am so mad how can they speak to customers like that

I think this would be worth checking out but am pretty sure, if you have the children, no matter who paid for what, your husband would not be allowed to remove anything from the house that you need in order to provide for them, ie, fridge kettle, toaster, plates. Does not matter who paid for what. Been there done that, if I knew then what I know now!
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Went to local Tesco last night, they had piles of socks with Great Dad etc on them, reduced from £2.50 to £1.25, had two in my basket initially to put through to see what price they came up at and lo and behold it was 25p. My poor niece who is visiting had to run back and get another 8 pairs, so in all got 10 pair of socks(I have left half a dozen pairs on the shelf, honest!). I have given my niece and nephew some of them to give their dad for his birthday or christmas.
When passing the household items I spotted the lovely stripey glasses with the 4 for £3 stickers on them, so duly decided we needed those too. Customer services were helpful and brought another two over and said oh these are six for six pounds, sorry I only want the 4, no problem she said and duly gave me back £4.
Productive evening and educational for my niece!

Evening all. Congratulations on all your DTD bargains!

I swore I wasn't going to Tesco today. I've even put my PJ's on in the hope that having to get dressed again will put me off, but now I've read about all your finds I don't know if I can help myself...

Has anyone been to W*ston Av today?

As for getting DTD, I have a special power at the moment. Look, this is going to sound awful, but bare with me OK?

On Tuesday I had some minor surgery on my face, which has left me terribly bruised. The bruises are so dark purple that they look more like port wine stain birth marks than bruises. The thing is, I've noticed that people are having trouble looking me in the face at the moment, and I kind of thought that any cs person is just really going to want me to leave.....

I know, I know, I'm a horrible person, but it might just work:rotfl:

Me too with the bruises. Had my wisdom teeth out, 4 weeks later I am still bruised. You're right, people were finding it hard to look me in the face. The staring only came from the very young and very old. I think they were trying to work out if I'd been bashed by OH or what. Needless to say, after the first shopping trip with him he got paranoid everyone thought he'd done it, he was getting some funny looks :rotfl:
    :starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:
  • went into my local Mr T's last night and saw the megablocks still on the shelf, £15 stickers on them and the SEL saying "£15 ends 6/7". I loaded 4 into the OH's trolley and headed to a self scanner. while scanning a member of staff crept up behind me and said "oh thats not working hun, i will do it" AND TOOK THEM TO CUSTOMER SERVICES. there she scanned them and said loudly "they are £30" i muttered thanks, grabbed them and scuttled off. I bought 4 of them with my shop (with the blocks it totalled a over £200 shop, i nearly died!...on the plus side I got £4 worth of points!). Looked on the way out but the woman was still stood on Customer services so I headed home. Have sent the OH to work today with the blocks and receipt to take back later. Luckily she didnt see him with me and they always seem to be more respectful to him at CS and dont question things. I always send him in from work though, in his suit (accountant). I think me, 2 kids in tow, covered in banana and with a toddler shouting "mummy why do we come to tesco every day?" would rouse more suspicion :). so wish us luck! he finishes at 4pm today so will find out then.
