OMG Ive been trouted for the first time ever, I saw the little steps activity walker in the toy ailse upstairs sel £25, it was then in the clearance section with sel £12.50 so of course I bought it and was charged £25, off I go, after checking sel for camera purposes, to cs to be met by....take me to the sel snotty attitude and Ill honour that price like she was doing me a favour. I pointed out the policy on that great blue board at which she said "not with this love as it has an expiry date of the 11/7 we legally can refuse" I asked where it stated that on policy. I was told I should check the sel... so I now have to get on my knees to the bottom shelf of the store to look at their small print!!!! She was adamant and dtd refused :eek::eek: I am so mad how can they speak to customers like that

Doesn't matter if the SEL is out of date! It doesn't say that on their blue board. I'd phone head office if I were you. Good luck x

The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have :)
  • Just call them and lay it on thick. Say she embarrassed and humiliated you when you was only following their policy of giving DTD ;)

I am so behind on DTD! So far all I've got on it this week is a bottle of water!!!:rotfl:Got to work all day today but am going on a serious mission tomorrow. Went yesterday to 3 T's and nothing, to flipping on the ball. Does anyone do S****H. It's a 20 minute drive for me but will try it in desperation!!

I thought the whole point was that the sel was out of date, if it was in date, you wouldn't be over charged:rotfl:
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

It's amazing how many DTDs I've gotten in a week:

    Toys
    Gardening stuff
    Clothes
    Gardening stuff
    Gardening stuff
Gift wrap cutters (only one store with an incorrect SEL)

And one I didn't have the chance to get - kids Cars socks which were reduced by sticker but scanning 50p dearer. Trout was on CS so wasn't in the mood for another lot of verbal abuse. Which reminds me, not heard from the main CS yet!

Looking at that list, maybe I should get some glasses and make it 1 DTD for every day of the week!
  • Hello there, I got dtd on an item last night, not quite as exciting as a phone or an ipod dock but hey. It's a jar of red Thai curry paste (cant remember the brand and not at home at the moment but it was the only red Thai curry paste, in my local anyway). It was marked at 89p and scanned at £1.59 so got £1.40 back. She tried to give me 70p but I asked "isn't it meant to be double?" and she apologised and handed over the £1.40. So end cost was 19p.

went into my local Mr T's last night and saw the megablocks still on the shelf, £15 stickers on them and the SEL saying "£15 ends 6/7". I loaded 4 into the OH's trolley and headed to a self scanner. while scanning a member of staff crept up behind me and said "oh thats not working hun, i will do it" AND TOOK THEM TO CUSTOMER SERVICES. there she scanned them and said loudly "they are £30" i muttered thanks, grabbed them and scuttled off. I bought 4 of them with my shop (with the blocks it totalled a over £200 shop, i nearly died!...on the plus side I got £4 worth of points!). Looked on the way out but the woman was still stood on Customer services so I headed home. Have sent the OH to work today with the blocks and receipt to take back later. Luckily she didnt see him with me and they always seem to be more respectful to him at CS and dont question things. I always send him in from work though, in his suit (accountant). I think me, 2 kids in tow, covered in banana and with a toddler shouting "mummy why do we come to tesco every day?" would rouse more suspicion :). so wish us luck! he finishes at 4pm today so will find out then.

But if you were charged £30 per box then that's good as you will get DtD.

I was in mr t's yesterday and got some garden scissors, sel was ood day before, said half price, scanned at full price, they took the sel down and gave dtd without me asking for it. So which store (my local is barrhead) isnt playing by the rules!!!

yeah should get the full £120 back on the blocks. Plus £4 worth of points, so £12 on days out. Both my kids are under 3 and most places do BOGOF on days out, so that £12 will almost pay for a day out for 4! Good times :j
