    Well done! :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

I am getting used to DTD now. I usually try to act casual, disinterested, head down and reading something... usually my receipt or something stupid ;) Might start bringing a book to look even more nonchalant :D Try that on for size next time!

"I've got a feeling I've been overcharged for an item..."
"I could have SWORN it was on offer for £xx..."
"I might be wrong... would you be so good as to check?"
"I was right? REALLY? I had a feeling that was the case..."
"Are you still doing double the difference? I was just reading your board when you were away..." OR "Oh, I get double? Really? That's awfully kind! Have a good day!"

And the Oscar goes to... ;)

I was the same as you this morning when I got a BT twin phone ...£39.99 scanning at £89.99......was so excited and scared at the same time:rotfl:

took a bit of prompting and a sour faced trout to authorise the £100 refund but not too bad really.....been buzzing all day with my freebie!!

Just returned from Llantrisant store, S.Wales. Cooling mats marked at correct price but did find an iron for DTD. :)

Philips GC7420/02 steam gen......SEL £99.97 scans at £149.97 ( offer expired 12th July )........so can claim DTD back of £100 so you would end up paying £50 for the iron. This is a big iron so would need a big space for storage. There were 3 left on the shelf. Did not buy one as too big.

Got 5 pkts. of chilli nuts and a finest choc.pudding so was happy. :)
    Born to glitch :D

Today, I got a bagless handheld vacuum cleaner, by Black & Decker. SEL said £29.97. Lower down the shelves was the same product with an SEL of £39.97. Scanned it, came up at the higher price, so that went in my trolley. A minute later, I found the Philips iPod Dock mentioned by somebody else here. SEL of £49.97, scanned at £69.97. In the trolley it went. Both products' SELs expired 12/07/2011. DTD received without quibbles = £60.

It did occur to me, celebrate, that this 'price promise' is doomed to failure, just like the other, bigger, DTD scheme for two reasons:

    1. If I wasn't aware of DTD when I purchased these items, I'd be stupid now not to look out for out-of-date SELs every time I'm in Tesco. To the average Joe Public that doesn't have a clue, the first time it happens, they'd have to be pretty dumb not to take advantage every trip, even if just to sell on eBay. The more it happens, the more people will know, the more people (like me) will take advantage of Tesco's generosity and eventually it will reach a 'tipping point' and Tesco will have to alter it. What would be better is if they refunded the difference and gave a giftcard, like ASDA, as then you'd have to return to the store to spend your giftcard amount.

    2. EDITED DUE TO GIVING IDEAS TO CON ARTISTS. I'M TOO CLEVER FOR YA!

Either way, I got a Black & Decker handheld vacuum cleaner for £20 and a top-of-the-range, RRP £100+, Philips iPod dock for £30.

Tesco change their prices so often staff sometimes can't keep up;)
Don't shop there much any more as security staff follow me & my OH round local stores and pricecheck anything we buy.
Means we can't partake much of the 1p bargains sadly.
OH is officially banned from 2 stores - wish the Manager would leave.

HIya, which store was this? My family are from teesside. :j
I hate twitches, but I LOVE glitches!!!
  • Evening all. Congratulations on all your DTD bargains!

I swore I wasn't going to Tesco today. I've even put my PJ's on in the hope that having to get dressed again will put me off, but now I've read about all your finds I don't know if I can help myself...

Has anyone been to W*ston Av today?

As for getting DTD, I have a special power at the moment. Look, this is going to sound awful, but bare with me OK?

On Tuesday I had some minor surgery on my face, which has left me terribly bruised. The bruises are so dark purple that they look more like port wine stain birth marks than bruises. The thing is, I've noticed that people are having trouble looking me in the face at the moment, and I kind of thought that any cs person is just really going to want me to leave.....

I know, I know, I'm a horrible person, but it might just work:rotfl:
