Are you guys saying that if there is an offer on and the offer price is still showing on the shelf even though it's clearly out of date, they have to honour it and give yiu back DD?
Thanks
Yep - because the 'clearly out of date' wording is always in small font compared to the special offer price. The average customer should not be expected to check the expiry date of any offer being displayed in a retail store (it's not supposed to be misleading and any offer displayed should work and be current).
Having said that, some stores will argue till they are blue in the face that they won't give DTD on an OOD SEL. If the DTD was worth the hassle, most of us here would politely argue to the contrary, pointing out their price promise on the blue sign behind CS, where there is no get-out clause about OOD offers...
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Today I bought the Green and Black's collection which has small bars of chocolate in various flavours (£4.99) and yellow SEL stated it came with free 100g bar so picked milk chocolate. I was charged £1.75 so customer services gave me £3.50 DTD. Free chocolate for me and a cheaper gift for music teacherMake £10 per day in July £45.48/£310
June £232.66, May £310.36, April £310.19, March £287.32, February £250.18, January £257.24
Swagbucks in 2015 £65/£1500 -
Going to find myself walking round tesco again scanning random food & electrical items in the clothing section.
Back in the days of refund & keep the item.
Surely the best method would be to go to a 24hr tesco, not when an offer is to expire (ie 1st aug). Call into tesco at 12.01am (2nd aug) and buy such said item when then offer is over. Though knowing my luck, it would continue to scan as normal and the shelf stackers would be onto me putting all the things back.0 -
lol i found myself doing that earlier. found the scanner by chance while i was waiting for the missus, went around finding the discounted items and taking them to the clothing dept price scanner. didnt find any though.0

Carlsberg beer offer at front of store (Yeovil) saying £5 if you spend £30 in store. Got overcharged because we bought three cases (spend in excess of £100). CS said its supposed to be one per customer. We said that may be what you think but it doesn't say so on the SEL. After politely arguing our case we walked out with two free cases of beer. The CSA was less than polite, although to be honest she was only about 17 and a bit out of her deptch0

It does say on the SEL "*limited to one per transaction" . I only know because I was going to try similar.0
