I had an interesting one this week.
2 pack torches on their £1 isle near the entrance. No SEL.
They went through as £3 which I spotted as I self scanned, so I scanned it again! and went to get another pack.
Off too the CS and I said I was overcharged. After an inspection the SA said there was no SEL. I said the whole display is £1, big banners on the shelves etc., But she asked a Supervisor who said I should be sold the item as £1 as a gesture of goodwill.
I asked why DTD was not applicable and she said there was no SEL.
I said the whole display is £1 and she came with me to look.
After a big debate and me pointing out all the other items that were only £1, the big banners and the strips stating £1 on most of the shelves, she caved in and gave the the DTD.
So, two packs of touches for my camping trip and £8 to take them away.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -

I was in a short while ago and was charged 3 times for my 2 items .
so over to CS and they refunded me for the overcgharge only I did ask but they said that DTD on double scans stopped about 6 months ago !!!
TIA
I had a DTD on a double scan only about 5/6 weeks ago - toothbrushes were 3 for 2, she actually scanned 5 as opposed to the 3 I had, CS gave me DTD so got 4 refunded - totally free toothbrushes! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

..........remember you paid over £6 in the first place, albeit wrongly.
I bought 2 packs, too - just seemed too useful not to, given that batteries are included. They were 75p in that Branch.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Its just DTD now , it replaced R&R some time ago , although a few CS assistants still do R&R if they carn't work it out.Never pay more than you have too0 -
Today I got: Adnams East Green Beer, 500ml, £1.69 per bottle and advertised on the shelf as 3 for 2. I got 3 bottles and they went through the tills with no deduction, so got DTD of £3.38.
The 3 for 2 advertising on the shelf took the form of a special barker that also proclaimed that this beer is 'great with a curry'. Obviously this was a relic of the 3 for 2 offer on a whole range of beers that ended a few days ago, so it may be worth looking out for similar stray shelf barkers.VoucherMan wrote: »Sunpat Peanut Butter Smooth 454g
I haven't been into a store since so I don't know if it scans at £2.37 or not.
In my local store, the SEL for this (and the crunchy variety) was for £2.37.

I stand corrected.I thought I had made more!! Well actually I 'personally' made more as the OH pays the Tesco receipts, so I pocketed the £8 and he would have paid the original receipt!
Is that wrong???

Getting the other half to effectively give you money is so RIGHT!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Nurofen Caplets 16's.
Supposedly half price at 94p but scanning at £1.36. SEL and big sign stating half price - DTD back of 84p.0 -
Popped into my local store today to get some cat food. Didn't realise the 2 boxes of felix pouches for £5 had ended, however the meaty selection had still got the old SEL stating 2 for £5 so i picked up 4 boxes. As i thought it didn't go through at that so went to CS and was told i had to go back after 8am (this was 7.40am) as nobody was available - i refused stating if they are open then someone should be able to give me a refund, after a few rude comments from the member of staff i then had to get 2 other ladies to clarify that the SEL said 2 for £5 and sign my receipt accordingly and have to go back later!A home is not a home ..... without a dog0
