I know there has been a lot of glitches lately with the gardening stuff at Tesco, but i was in store yesterday and a customer in front of me bought this http://direct.tesco.com/product/images/?R=210-0399 it scanned at £25 but the customer noticed and informed the cashier that it was advertised as £8.xx on the SEL , she then called over a supervisor who went and got the SEL and adjusted the price on the till, so maybe woth a punt to some other people out there to keep their eyes open for it.
    HTH

Oh dear, another DTD missed. That would have been £7 cash returned plus a free BBQ. Must keep an eye out for this myself though :T

On the website it says 'was £25.00 now £16.66 Save £8.34', maybe customer read it wrong ??

Ohhhh that's a classic indicator of the gardening glitch. Don't suppose Classy_Chick06 wants to return to store as there might be more stuff they'd be interested in scanning at 20% of the original price and not 20% off.

No, the supervisor had the SEL in her hand and it did say £8.34, she adjusted the till accordingly, so i assume she informed someone of the discrepency or else i would have gone back in and bought one myself, but no point when i knew the the SEL was no longer there, the SEL definately said £8.xx
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

The chicken homepride sauce in a jar is also going through at 10p, bought it this morning so is worth checking all the homepride sauces by the sound of it.
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Just got back and had a great shop . Got the Mega Bloks , there was one left with a sticker on , so full DTD . Goy 12 packs of the Oxo for 10P pack , 6 pasta sauce at 20p and then I got 12 of the smoothies on the glitch . I paid £7 odd for the lot:j:j

    I've been Money Tipped!
Today I was followed round the store by a manager who I had a run in with about 4 years ago on a mispriced DVD set. He saw me with my (shopping) list and looking closely at SELs (as I always do for a pence per gram comparison) and obviously thought I was on the hunt for as many DTDs as I could get. I was trailed for half of my shop :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Any of you longtimers still have shadows?

Unfortunately the ASA's remit doesn't cover advertising/signage located within a store (stupid, I know).

The people to report it to are your local Trading Standards as it's a breach of the Consumer Protection From Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and renders Tesco liable to prosuection, but I'm afraid to say that TS will almost certainly be too spineless to act on your complaint - they've been letting Tesco get away with murder for years on things like mispricing and failure to honour their own policies.

You are right about the ASA, when I contacted the ASA some time about not honouring R&R they were interested as R&R had been asvertised in commercials etc - Tesco soon backed down when they were involved. Do Tesco advertise the DTD instore on their website or any advertising campaigns.
