When I went into the store and found the sign still there, I asked for the duty manager. CS asked why and explained my request to the Duty Manager. As the DM came over, she was on the phone. When she got off the phone, she said she had been on the phone to HO about this matter and had been told the sign should be removed. She told me it was a matter of miscommunication. I told her that Thursday's DM had been told about the sign and done nothing. She apologised and asked if there was anything else she could do.

Well done you :T drives me mad when staff cannot follow the rules of the company they work for.

I just wanted to update everyone on this thread that in store DTD in NOT guaranteed. I know we all thought it was for years but I've had to give up my fight after two months. The final response on the matter is that if you know it is incorrectly priced (like everyone does who reads this thread) then they are not obliged to give DTD. I have asked on multiple occasions for a link or a printed statement to this "new" T&C but it is not there. The reason they gave I knew it was wrong was because I bought lots (15 ) of the item.

Now all I can do is go to the ASA I suppose. I'm honestly shocked.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

is that the official line from HO?

I suppose buying alot of one item may draw attention to yourself unless i suppose it was mixed into a big shop?

May be dependent on the store or SA? I have just been to my local store where they had the striped glasses there but only SS tills were open. Decided to chicken out and leave it until the morning when "normal"tills are open

Without going into the case exactly, it was the only thing I bought bar one other item. The store manger refused, the CS I phoned whilst in store said it was up to the SM. The CS I phoned on leaving the store said it was up to the store manager. Now 2 official responses from HO (CEO office ) have said the same. I'm waiting on official answers to a few obv. questions and I will let you all know.

I honestly thought it was policy, and always told people to phone CS and they'd sort it. I have no idea why my case was different and as such, will be taking up with ASA.

Not a misprice as such, but deaglecat on HUKD spotted that Tesco have mistakenly priced 1 litre bottles of own brand Sunflower Oil at 28p.

it actually is a misprice like all the other items over past few days as it is supposed to be save 28p from £1.59 but the charging the saving not the correct price and i wouldn't be surprised if there's not more grocery's doing the same
