I have just seen on the 'other' dtd thread that at some stores flumps are going through at 90p instead of 9p - the only thing you must watch is that Tesco are doing 11 flumps for £1 - so make sure you only get 10 or less.

Bought a 3pk s/s boys school shirts, age 13-14, in Watford Extra this morning. Used a £5 clubcard clothing exchange voucher, so paid £1. The price on the front sticker was £11, the price on the back with the barcode was £9.50. £3 dtd refunded.

    One to look out for:

Packs of 4 x 330ml bottles of San Miguel are now back up to at £4.49 on Tesco.com. They were supposed to be on offer at £3.14 until May 3 and some stores still have the £3.14 SEL up. So, if you find this SEL and they go through at £4.49, this will be a £1.35 overcharge, meaning an in store DTD refund of £2.70 and a net price of £1.79 per pack. You can then still submit your receipt at Tesco Price Check and given that these packs are priced at £3.00 at Asda, you'll get a voucher for £1.49 per pack. So each pack works out at a net of 30p.

Make sure that anything like this is put through on the self service as the checkout staff will pick up on it and the transaction will not go ahead!

Striped glasses £1.25 each, SEL states 6 for £6 but glasses all stickered up as 4 for £3. Charged £5 for 4 so got £4 DTD back, so 4 glasses ended up costing me just £1. This was in Warrington store.

I love this 'bargain'. 9p each, so 11 bought individually is 99p but bought as a '11' are £1!

CS. Don't say a thing at the till!
  • I was overcharged for Cravendale milk on Thursday. The 2L cartons were selling for £1.80 each or 3 for £4.00 (presumably to match ASDA). On the part of the receipt where it deducts the discount, it listed Cravendale 3 for £4 but only deducted 60p (they usually sell this milk 2 for £3 so I think they must have forgotten to change the deduction).

As it should have deducted £1.40, I was overcharged by 80p so I got £1.60 back (had to ask for DTD as was only offered 80p). Net cost for 3 large cartons of milk was therefore £2.40 :)
