    Hi

thanks for this thread guys. I have just discovered the thread and the double the difference return on mispriced items. I bought a couple of bottles of shampoo that were heavily reduced on the sel but scanned at full price. I was just chuffed to bits that they let me have it for the discounted price. I pointed this out to them once the product had scanned, but i had not paid yet. Does this make a difference? Or does the dtd apply if you have paid and left the store?

no you need to keep shtum, pay the full price at the till then go back to CS and claim your DTD!!!!
    hope that helps
nothing you can do about it now-unless theres some more and you want to go back and try again!

Thanks celebrate. no, This happened weeks ago! Little did i know that I could have got double the difference back. I bought the same bottles the day before at the cheaper price, so went on to self scanner which showed full price. Thought i would chance it at the till and it paid off.

Will bear your advice in mind in the future. Thnaks to you and all the others on here.

    hello:)
reading some of the threads it seems that dtd is applied to out of date products? is that right?
The cs at my store told me dtd does not apply on outdated stock and gave me my money back, I felt a bit embarassed about arguing incase I was wrong so accepted my money back.
    thanks,

They are not supposed to sell outdated stock I don't think
    travelover
  • T think they can sell out of date stock but the customer must know its out of date

There isn't any terms or conditions on the dtd board so IMO it should be on anything that they get wrong. Reduced, on offer anything. U'd think that some of the SA were paying it out of their own pocket!!
  • KEY Country Foods Premium Unsmoked Back Bacon Twin pack (2x168g).

Packs have a £2 sticker on, but scan at £2.49.

Irritatingly I noticed this as a potencial DTD while I was shopping, and then forgot to check it once i'd gone through the till.
Only realized my mistake once i'd got back home & was unpacking the car.

Will go back tomorrow to get my £0.98 DTD... and maybe buy a few more :D
  • just got a nice DTD on some easter craft things:

    easter sticker SEL 17p went through £1 each ( I bought 3)
Easter pom pom chicks 36p went through as £1.50 ( I bought 3)
    Easter stick puppets 24p went through as £1 ( I bought 3)

wasnt going to give DTD til I queried it and then she cocked it up and gave me £16.54??

    DTD Should have been £16.38

    £1.00 - 0.17 = 0.83 + 0.83 = 1.66 (DTD) x 3 = £4.98
    £1.50 - 0.36 = 1.14 + 1.14 = 2.28 (DTD) x 3 = £6.84
    £1.00 - 0.24 = 0.76 + 0.76 = 1.52 (DTD) x 3 = £4.56

    Total = £16.38
    *SIGH*
    :D
  • Today in Tesco bought VEET underarm which should have been £3.50 (half price, yellow SEL) and was charged full price so got that free. Other VEETs on offer too but didn't try any others.

Also bought John West seared tuna fillets . £2.15 each or 3 for £5. Bought 3 and was charged £6.45 so got dtd. There are two varieties Lime and Cracked Pepper and Sweet Thai Chilli and DTD only worked on the Sweet Chilli variety.
HTH someone. (Only my second DTD)

Tesco Floor Wipes Antibacterial+ (Blue packaging) 15 wipes.

SEL 1.23, however the box that the packets are displayed in states "Any 2 for £2". Not working at the till.

DTD 92p, so cost 77p per pack
