    Tesco Holiday shop beach towels:
    stripey £4 each - 2 for £6
    plain £3 each - 2 for £5
Went through full price - £14, got £6 dtd so not bad for £2 each. Didn't check the SEL for dates. This was in Colchester Highwoods store.

You beat me to it, I think they are having real problems with this one. I have only tried the flowery and the stripey ones - bought 2 flowery should have been 2 for £6 got charged £8 so DTD £4 back, then bought 2 stripey should have been 2 for £6 charged £8 so DTD £4 again. Didn't try the plain ones that said 2 for £5 so don't know if discount is coming off those.

Girl let slip this has been ongoing prob for a few days - I doubt it will be fixed tonight or sunday so fill your boots if you need holiday towels they are quite nice for £2 each.

Just been to Tesco and bought three items for what I thought were 97p each. Turns out I'd been charged £1 each. Went to customer service and was given 9p back.

Call me picky but on the way out I was thinking shouldn't it be DTD - so I should have got 18p. Plus I realise now I haven't got my receipt, customer service didn't give it back to me.

Something tells me that Tesco staff are discouraged from offering DTD. This has happened before. Anyone had any experience of it?

In my experience its often the little hitlers at the desk who seem to want to decide whether a customer gets DTD, when a member of management is consulted they are usually told to do it pronto.

Tesco Meat 3 for £10 offer

In my local store there was an end of aisle promotion saying 3 for £10 on products priced at £4, so I bought some barbeque items including Tesco 10 Beefburgers 850g

    5051898549213_200.jpg

Turns out that, despite being priced at £4 and in the promotional cabinet, they are not part of the offer so the £2 discount does not kick in. Apparently the items included in the offer are all stickered, but the promotional sign does not make it clear that it is on stickered items only .

So, after a couple of attempts at wriggling out of the overprice, I got £4 DTD back, also used the £2.50 off £10 meat voucher from yesterday's Mail and got £12 of meat for £5.50 :D.

Fairy platinum dishwasher tablets pack of 33 (22+11 free)
    barcode 5-413149-782129

    SEL £4.49 (in-date expires 14/07/09)
    Scanned £6.78
    DTD £4.58
    Overall cost £2.20
Making them significantly cheaper than the cheapest discount brand. :money:
