Hi
just been to tesco and the muller little stars have 100% free (so 12 for the price of 6= &1.45 each) and are on 3 for £3
the promo reduction didn't come off so 6 x 6 pots for 3 x £1.45-(2 x £1.35 DTD) so only paid £1.65 for 6 x 6 yogs!
tho actually i used 2 x £1 muller vouchers at the till so i'm 35p up!!!:D0 -
Hello everyone
Been ages since I posted, but I've just had a look at some recent posts, and wondered if you may be able to help me with a query.
I went to my local T's today and found lots of 250ml and 500ml Head shoulders in various flavours, but also one single line of Head & Shoulders in a 200ml size, which I assumed to be old stock (and hopefully, therefore, at a reduced price).
There was no price on the shelf at all (no label, nothing), and when I checked with a price scanner it just said "call a member of staff for assistance")
I took one of the bottles and went through self-scan with some other items. When it came to the H&S, the supervisor took my bottle (with a face like a slapped a&se, and no verbal interaction), returning 5 mins later with a 250ml version of the H&S, which he then scanned at £2.10 (bl@@dy cheek, that price), and told me mine was the same barcode. I didn't argue (as I had about 6 packs of GU cookies already in my bag and didn't want to argue).
I went back tonight and found another 5 of the same 200ml H & S, still on the shelf, still no marked price. This time I went to a manned till. Again it came up as not marked, and the chappie called the Supervisor who went to investigate. She came back and said "it's not on the system, so I can't sell it to you". I said "that's really disappointing - can't it be sold as reduced stock if it's old stock " She replied (cryptically) - "it might not be old stock, it might not even be new stock"...ooh, now I'm scared, in case there's whole crates of Head & Shoulders stuck in some kind of nether-world between old and new stock....
Seriously, though, does anyone else have any experience of this kind of nonsense ? Surely if there are goods on the shelf, they are there to be bought ? If they come to the checkout, then a Manager surely needs to have the authority to sell them to the customer at some kind of price, rather than say "ooh, no, we can't sell them to you, cos the computer says no..."
thank you

I wouldn't mind paying 59p (rather than £2.10), but to have my "booty" removed from the checkout because they weren't on the system is really very galling.0 -
Milliesmum - just make a Freephone call to HO: 0800-505555 and relate the gubbins of your post 1373 and floart's 1374.
You sound articulate and measured and I would just ask to go further up the food chain if you do not receive some suitable gesture/recompense, perhaps a moneycard.

Ampersand, thanks for the advice. I've emailed T's customer support today to relate my tale of woe. For good measure, I also mentioned the fact that while I was at the self scan in the morning, another customer had alerted the same assistant (Mr Slapped a*se face) that someone had forgotten to take their change. Without a word, and wearing the same supercilious grin, he strolled over to the till, removed the £5 note which had been left behind, put it in his pocket and sauntered off. I'd like to think he was heading to Customer Services to hand it in, but then again ....
I'll let you know what happens when I get a response.

Very wise, Mm.
Next point: if you receive no point-by-point response by Tues, DO use the phone no. given. State your surprise and discomfort that this proves necessary with a professional, national company of standing/loyal customer etc.etc.blahblah.
Making them aware that you, if not they, will action appropriate standards and courtesies, is more likely to bring A Result.
tbc, please?

Hi Ampersand. Good plan - I'll do that. Perhaps the threat of being proactive (in addition to me being deeply disappointed, which I've found from experience elicits a more rapid response than merely being Mrs Angry from Cambridgeshire !) will bring forth some kind of explanation.
I'll definitely keep you posted, and thanks again for the advice.

I saw the exact same head and shoulders in my local store on wednesday. There was a label that said 24p though, I swifty bought 7 bottles and put the bottle costing £2.10 that i was about to buy back. When i got to the checkout i had the same problem with not on system, The checkout assistant was insistant she could not sell it to me as it was not on the system, i advised her the label said 24p which she was certain "could not be right" She eventually called a supervisor over who went to investigate, she then came back with the label which indeed said 24p. They still could not get the barcode to be recognised so they scanned two other of my items totalling the £1.68 the 7 bottles totalled. both members of staff were not very happy but I was very pleased!
I can only assume your store didn't have a label? there was a few different varietes all in a different place but only one kind with a label so this is the only one i got. I can't understand how they can't sell you something they have for sale on thier shelves.0 -
I've had loads this week for 32p...scan no problem. Cool Menthol variety - barcode ending 065. Smaller size bottle...(can't remeber if they're 200ml or 250ml)Addicted to MSE0
