Hi-hope this is posted in correct place:o
Fifa 11 green sticker on saying £25-went through till with other shopping and didn't think twice about it. Just looking at my receipt before leaving store and it had scanned at £39.99!!!!
If you can get dtd - you will be quids in (which is why I'm sharing info). Unfortunately I didn't get it. I thought the assistant was acting a little strange- she was umming and ahhing over what to do -then went to her senior, who then asked me sternly " Did you not realise at the till ?! ". I said I was sorry but I had bought a trolly full of shopping and hadn't thought to check items as they were going through...". They started to discuss what they were going to do (??) which I found strange-then she said we will refund you the whole amount back on your card and then charge you correct price. Great stuff...until I got back in the car and hubby reminded me about Double the Difference:eek:
Can anybody help/advise please? I can't find any dtd policy on the internet that I could copy to send to HO. Also could anybody point me in the direction of the right address for HO and any advice on wording
If the policy is still in place I would like to query it higher up as I was made to feel like I had done something wrong ( now I figure perhaps they were trying to get out of the DTD ? ).
Thankyou in advance & hope others are luckier!:):
Complain to Head office re the dtd
Tesco CS is freephone - telephone number 0800 505 555
If you look on the wall behind the Customer Service desk you should see a large poster advertising dtd, so all CS staff know about it, but some think its their money and try to wriggle out of it. Complain hard enough and you should get the dtd via a moneycard.
Good luck0 -
Sorry
I thought it was if they charged £39.99 instead of £25-they have overcharged by £14.99 . If (big if) someone got double the difference- that should be 2 lots of £14.99 back which would be £29.98. The game is £25 so that would mean in reality you've paid only £4.98 ??
I have most probably got it really wrong though:o ! x:hello: SHARING THE LOVE (OF A BARGAIN) x0 -

lol. you paid £39.99 at the till. with dtd you would have got £29.98 back. therefore, £39.99 - £29.98 = £10.01:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

thanks karlie! Said I was rubbish at maths:rotfl: Complete Nellie;) However, still a bit cross because of how the assistant treated me and also with myself for not challenging them (and getting the maths wrong!).
I think now the woman was actually trying to imply that I knew the game was priced wrong ?! (My store doesn't have scanners-so don't know how).x:hello: SHARING THE LOVE (OF A BARGAIN) x0 -
Just an update. Sent email to CS on Monday evening. Got a call today (whilst out)-left a message apologising-stating it IS their policy to give double the difference. It should have been given and they apologise and will be sending a letter of apology and a money card with the rest of the double the difference on it. And they will be notifying my local store manager about this. So got the game for £10:hello: SHARING THE LOVE (OF A BARGAIN) x0
