Do the same mistakes happen in all stores? For example if someone in a Kent store finds a mistake will someone in Manchester find the same mistake? If I travel to tesco based on a misprice I have seen on this thread what are the chances I will find the same misprice in my local store?

It depends if its a head office error then its likely to be nationwide, if its a store error like they haven't taken a price down at the end of a promotion then it may be store specific.

OMG will people stop looking for arguements on everthing i post?!
I agree with him i have seen his budget. It isnt impressive. He knows the DTD policy and agrees with it.
The mistakes arent always caused by his staff but more often than not caused by Tesco HO not updagin the computer system prices. He doesnt argue about the DTD polic but he does wherever possible advise people to call Tesco CS. this way they still get the DTD (infact often more as tesco normally just send out £10 vouchers) and his budget doesnt get screwed by HO mistakes.

He obviously doesn't agree with the policy as he doesn't follow it.

I would be extremely upset if I shopped there and was overcharged and then put to the incovenience of having to chase through head office to get the policy followed. Perhaps his attitude is losing him customers to other stores hence the poor budget.

And as a long standing Tesco cusomer wayyy back to the glory days of RnR I can assure you that if you phone head office after being refused DTD by the store they send you back to the store to collect it after contacting the customer services at the store.

Customers should be king in retail, the best way to get a bigger budget and more staff hours is to sell more.

No one picking an argument here just expressing an alternative opinion.;)

Next time you talk to this saint of a manager, (him being a saint is about as likley as there being a Father Xmas) just mention that several of his customers may be trading standard officers and would he be quite so happy, ignoring the companys policy ( contract they have made with you at the time of purchase) if they were overcharged. Plus the fact a small community like that, it could be friends or family of yourself could be being overcharged and not realising. As for you saying he showed you his budget, then perhaps you do believe in Father Xmas

Well dickie isnt such a bad name but i woudl use an abbreviation..
What is it with everyone on this site tihnking they are keyboard warriors? What does me actually taking his words as truth have to do with santa?
Indeed it may be my family or friends but as i haev said [big]HE[/big] advises you to call the CS because tyou do get a better eal you get more than the DTD so for the sake of a hpone call (and yes i know it may take up some of your time that would normally be used to post fantasy comparisons) its worth it.

PPC aint a bad name either but i to would abbrieviate that because thats what this manager is taking out of you, why on earth would he show you his figures for the budget. What i meant by Father Xmas was if someone shows you a letter addressed from him, would you believe it was true???. If your happy phoning up to chase your refunds fair enough, thats your choice, but do you realise everytime you phone up for a misprice they have your details,ie if they send you a gift card they have your address if they give you points they have your reward card number, and sooner or later you will end up barred as people have been in the past but for those of us who will face the CS we will do it that way.

PPC is actually more relate to the parking forum...
He showed me his budget because my partner works there ...
If you have geniune refunds then they cannot bar you for that. I would however love them to try.

Also with being dealt with at CS you coul end up going to the same person a few times in a year... This would get embarassing.

But then you can see if its the same person, unlike on the phone. Well that makes it worse if hes showing you it because your partner works there how can you be sure he isnt showing other people details about your partner, this just proves what im saying about them not being honest
