  • 'help!! I'm on Bingo Britain and I haven't a clue what I'm meant to be doing!'

Hey - thought I'd catch up with you here :D
So far, I have joined 888, Costa and Bingo liner  I tend to play in the morning too, in my PJs when DS is getting ready to go to school. Does get quite confusing tho, as they are all quite different.
But with that and surveys, it's amazing how the amounts can add up :D
And funnily enough, I won a kid's blackboard and £20 Gamezone vouchers at the school charity bingo last night :T - and I never usually win anything at these sort of things.
    New CC starting balances for 2014: BC: £2780.00 (2717.45) MBNA: £2185.72 (2160.72)
    Repayment a/c: £112.50

  • Brilliant stuff helln' - so you're doing alright on the £10 a day challenge then?!! I take it that the vouchers will be making their way into DS's xmas pressie?!

I was completely out of my depth on the bingo last night - played through that £5 and thought "what have I done!" - got up this monring though and played through the £5 bonus with some live games and some prepurchases tickets and came back a few minutes ago to discover a £10 win! :D Feel a lot more positive about it now I've not only won back my intial amount but have also gone into profit too! (Bit more help needed from FF, Hypno or someone please.....) I've applied to withdraw the £10 and only after I've made the application have I remembered that it's a minimum £20 withdrawal isn't it? If so, I assume they will email and tell me so and return the £10 to the cash account - can I then immediately deposit £10 nd then do the corrected withdrawal or do I have to wait until tomorrow? If tomorrow, I assume I need to do that before playing through tomorrow's bonus?

Lots to do today/tomorrow so I shall put my list up here to help with inspiration (or so you can all issue virtual kicks up the 'arris if I don't do it!)

[STRIKE]Get some ham out of the freezer to add to toasties for tea tonight[/STRIKE]
Ring virgin to take off Sky Sports package
Price check pet shop, jollyes, pets at home and The range for cat food.
Start making Christmas cards with bits I’ve got in.
    Backup laptop
[STRIKE]Set up outlook reminder for “TV licence” months…..[/STRIKE]
Do Christmas present audit to see what we still need to buy – do a list for our days out.
    Do my Christmas list
    Tyre pressures – both cars.
Jet wash my car (too cold to wash by hand now)
    Portion up and freeze bacon.
Do breakdown cover for my car to start 29/11 but reduce mileage to 20k per year.
Morrisons – buy stamps with 5% savings and see what else is on offer. Do any shopping that will be cheaper there than tesco – call in at Tesco on way back for the balance.
Do meal plan for next few weeks taking account of what we have in.

  • :o Small confession :o

Bought two items in Tesco's 500 CC points on selected CD's a DVD's the other night - only after I'd submitted both orders did I realise I'd forgotten to go through Quidco. Some time of kicking myself later, I decided I couldn't be bothered to try to cancel both orders in order to redo them, and accepted that I'd just have to remember not to be so daft next time. Checked my Quidco earnings this morning to find that both transactions have gone through anyway in spite of my not going from the Quidco page - I guess that cookie will be working OK then! :D

ALso on the Tesco front - that DVD pre-order that I cancelled and reordered to make sure I got the extra points offer won't cancel - so I now have two copies coming. TBH I'll probably stick one on ebay as soon as it turns up and cover the cost that way hopefully.

Phew, that's a big list EH! You are putting me to shame getting all this Christmas shopping sorted, I love the idea of the toiletries box, I might do something similar for my sister. She is starting uni again in January and a bumper pack of razor blades, deodrant and shampoo would probably be a really useful pressie.

Bingo, I have no idea with I'm afraid, the whole thing is way over my head. Well done on the credit card too, I know the feeling of nerves, reminds me of when I was 17 and trying to buy booze or get into pubs!

I'm impressed by you (and everyone else) keeping the heating off this long. Those early October days when we didn't have our on seem like a distant memory now! :o

  • LOL - yes, we're a lot further south than you though remember!! There has been about two evenings so far when we've felt a bit chilly but we've both been brought up in the "put another jumper on" mentality so it's not like one of us wants the heating on and the other doesn't which is good. I usually find that a change into PJ's and my thick dressing gown and fluffy socks helps a lot. Being on storage heating too, there isn;t the level of adjustment that you have with gas central heating hence the reluctance to put it on too soon - once it's on, it's on! :D To be honest though, we were talking about it last night and are both agreed that it definately doesn't need to be on at the moment. Even had the door open for a bit earlier to let some air in (and the cat out, and in, and out again, and in again....!)

Just made a big pot of roasted squash soup as it was so nice last week. Am now about to write down some of the stuff I need to get done and then head out and do some of it.

  • :rotfl:Lol - me heads spinnin' at your bingo reckonings!! It took me three goes to get my Math '0' grade, so that might explain it. Just been looking at Moon bingo - 300% bonus on your first deposit. Gonna see if I win anything for free first, then I might do it..............that's as close to a game plan as I've got so far

A question - is Quidco better than Top cashback?

EH - about BB withdrawals - the only thing I can say is, try it and see - I've often tried to withdraw and it comes up saying "you have another 109 minutes to go before you can withdraw again" sort of thing - remember, its all automated, there's no one checking what you're doing as you're doing it.

You can certainly deposit your £10 to make it up to £20, and then withdraw immediately - I've done that on many occasions.

Gurgle gurgle gurgle to keeping the heating off - I'm right on the south coast and my heating is on! Not all the time, for sure, but I'll have it turned on at some stage during the evening - I tell myself I'm in a chilly microclimate - which I am - and its very open to the winds from the Channel - which it is - and I lose a lot of heat even through modern double glazing cos my windows are so big - true too. Or I'm just nesh, as we used to say :rotfl:

Hi everyone. Heating is off here and thick woollen cardigan on instead. We have a whopping £120ish credit on the gas bill woohoo. Just need to get the electric into shape now. I'm thinking of getting one of those electricity monitors. Not really worried about one showing costs but more showing watts so I can locate and destroy the electricity eating machine in this house! Just gone and switched off a couple of things at the plug just thinking about this.

Its so useful to keep price matching (like you did with pet food EH). I was going to buy some latex gloves for some of the yuckier pet duties and found at our local independent chemist they were half the price of lakelands. naughty lakeland.

Good point about checking tyres too (must do this). Must also declutter the car, as excess baggage wastes fuel too.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I've found it so, although I do have a TCB account too. Don't forget to use Martin's cashback checker on the main site to see which site can give you the best though. I'm wishing they'd hurry up and get Calmac on one of them!!!

KC thanks for the comment about the withdrawals - I've not had an email from them to say it's been refused yet so we will see what happens! Must remember to check it hasn't been returned to the cash account before I sppend my bonus tomorrow morning though! Oh, and you realy made me giggle with your excuses for having the heating on, too!

We only use gas to cook, so at the moment our DD is at the lowest level - £5 - per month, and we use about £8 per quarter in gas.....I have a special deal with British Gas where I can claim my credit once it goes over £50 rather than the usual amount they insist on (£100)! Leccy credit was also fairly high last time I looked - I'm waiting on the next bill to see if I can reduce the DD again.
