Morning all! Chev - thanks for calling in, you're always welcome in here!! I'm going to make muffins and possibly some twinks later so if you're in again tonight help yourself......:D

Bob - my stripeys are ON as we speak....actually - come to think of it, where's Stripes herself this morning? Not seen her yet. Will pop over to her diary in a minute and hammer on the door - see if she's lazing in bed still! ;)

Plans for today are to get our little teeny weeny bit of garden organised. It badly needs weeding - we get overrun with these bulbs which have pretty white flowers on them - not a clue what they are but they have to be dug out in vast quanitites every year or they take over. I also have some seens I want to get on the go for veggie type stuff. Got to check what I have and then see about getting them sown. Might give the compost bin a stir as well. Other than that, tidy the place up, and go onto the online banking to transfer the £42.10 I got from quidco from my current account to somewhere more exciting for it. It'll only get bored staying where it is. :D Lunch will be a salad with some tuna and the sun blush tomatoes I impulse bought from the deli at Tesco last night. OH doesn't really "do" salads unless I make them quite interesting for him - we have rocket, watercress and cherry toms to go in so that had better be "interesting" enough for him! ;) We've got the rugby club social tonight - I'm taking the car as a) I'm on anti-b's for the tonsillitus still and b) it'l keep the spend down if I'm driving! :T

Have a lovely (low spending!) day all of you!

I am most envious of everyone's stripey socks. When you have chubby legs and fat feet (I am the only person I know with fat feet) stripey socks are a bit of a no-no.
    "Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

OH - gather round everyone......we need to find socks with VERTICAL STRIPES for Wordsmith!!! (It would have to be said Wordsmith, that if I am choosing clothing to wear on my body, horizontal stripes are a definite no-no for me too - vertically challenged and a "comfortable" build, I am!) :rotfl:

No actual progress on the savings today - been spending it rather than saving it! Not much though - been to speedway so just the cost of lunch (I have a season ticket so already paid for) plus a bit of diesel to get me there.

I have a feeling that there might be a little more slack in the joint account than I was reckoning this month - I did the figures working on the basis that the Council tax and service charge MIGHT come out the day before my pay goes in, but looking at the history of it it's unlikely. I really should wait for the 15th though to be certain......oh I'm so impatient!! :rotfl:

I have to go to our head office tomorrow for a training course. Means leaving home at 7am which is a bit of a pain, but I do get to claim back the mileage which can work out quite nicely. I've always made a point of transferring mileage payments from work straight out of my current account so that will be a little more for the fund. Will wear |Stripey socks for luck.

Must go and do the weeks meal plan now.....Fay's made me want beef & ale casserole!!

LOL - sometimes I almost have to pinch myself when I think how in control of things I am now. I am quite honestly the worlds most unorganised person, and I have a memory like a sieve, so the writing down of "stuff" in a diary proves to be a huge help to me, in fact I believe that without that, I probably wouldn't stand a chance.

Well, I decided that Fay had to be right about the powers of the stripes, so I should top up my stocks. Tesco have some nice packs of four pairs - two stripey, one spotty and one plain pair per pack, £3 a pack, and went through the till with a 20% discount applied. Hurrah! I have a health & safety course at work on Tuesday so shall wear a pair then for luck! :D

Thank you all so much for making me so welcome on your diary board.

Ok fay wanders in late in a daze from lemsip overdose and sock envy. Hands EH a lovely bottle of Orkney Dark Ale to say cheers and here's to a lovely steak and ale dinner - also hands over some lovely Orkney beef - hugs to you - enjoy.

Hello and wow - first off you aren't disorganised - you organised my 6 month shop remember.

And secondly - aw the power of the socks - they do work miracles you know. The health and safetly course will seem so much more fun with your stripey socks to provide an invisible forcefield of stripey lovlieness around you.

Thridly apologies for being days late on the start of your lovely new shiney wonderfully organised diary.:o

Loving the shopping and the buying the car with cash :D:D

Jumps a wee bit to say hello and doesn't move head about too much. Don't make me laugh too much though cos it sends me into fits of coughing.

Can't wait til you can build your house :)

Oh no you aren't I have feet the size that only a decent clarks shoe will attire. Extra wide - they are almost as wide as they are long (size 3-4):D and dont get me started on my calves - I can hardly get boots or wellies to fit me - they are so chubtastically jinormous. Stripes for me - everytime.

Embrace the stripes and accentuate those things you can't change.

I find as well if you buy knee length stripey socks then your legs more than compensate for the wideness of your feet. To be honest they look so amazing you'll never put normal socks on again.

    It's everyone's diary board and besides i like a bargain..dashes off to Tesco ............ 24 hours stripey sock shopping...bliss:D:rotfl:

Oh stop showing off with your 24/7 access to socks - mind you I did mention lobster didn't I - fair enough - waves to bob - and to chev - through that hole in the centre of the earth.

Sorry chaps been sick and not lazing in bed - honest guv - having to make up for it now by staying up late, caffine, lemsips and writing - oh hurrah.

Oh there's a point - sick = no socks - rushes off to put on several pairs of socks of a random striped and flowery assortment - to banish the evil cold I have. (makes the noise of a sprinter person...... sprinting)
