Can I get My Car Resprayed Via Insurance?
Comments
-
Can you re-read my original question?
Again please keep your unfounded allegations of fraud to your own warped little mind.
I am simply asking if the respray can be claimed for against my insurance, obviously the insurance company already know when I purchased the car as the insurance started from that time and they would doubtless use an assesor.
They are not as simple minded as some on this thread.
Why are you obsessed with fraud?...maybe something from your past?
You cannot claim for an incident that happened before you owned the car. Is this what you intend to do? Its a yes/no question.0 -

It wouldn't be called fraud if it was done accidentally as I stated.
Make another attempt to suggest I am a fraudster I will take legal action against you via tracking your IP address that this site is obliged to provide.
Accidently on purpose is still classed as fraud.
You would have to pay the excess on your insurance of say £250, you would then have to declare you have had a claim in the last 5 years which will no doubt increase your premiums for the next 5 years.0 -

Mate, your the one who needs to get a life.
Apart from the 'throwing your toys out of your pram' response, how could you possibly think that four years wear and tear done before your bought the car could be claimed via your insurance?
Whatever next, claiming for tyre wear?0 -
Bought a high mileage motor with stonechips to bonnet and front fender.
Not relevantI want to get them both resprayed by a BMW approved specialist.
Not relevantI have 7 years NCB protected insurance.
Not relevantMy premium this year will be £350 fully comp.
Not relevantThe respray for both items will cost about £750.
Not relevantCan I claim for this via my insurance?
You can claim for anything you want - fill your boots. It'll add to Jasper Carrott's joke if nothing else.

That's not an attempt to suggest you are a fraudster, it's a question. An attempt to suggest you are a fraudster might be something like "I think you're trying to defraud the insurance company".
The answer to your (rather stupid, in my opinion) question, is a resounding no, you can't claim for stone chips on your insurance that were already there when you bought the car.
Now, if you were to graze it against a wall, accidentally or otherwise, you might get the car repaired, but as someone has already said, you'll pay a lot more than £750 in increased premiums over the next five years. They'll probably double your premium the next year for starters.
Now run along and get some T-Cut, some polish and some rags, stop being a keyboard hero and try and smarten it up yourself with a bit of elbow grease.0 -

Hmmm. I wonder if some insurers' organisation is requesting YOUR IP address as we speak, with a view to noting the details of your post for use in any future claim?
First rule of MSE - be nice
First rule of forums - just beacuse it's not what you want to hear doesn't mean it's wrong.
I'd suggest you should apologise for your comments.0 -
