Can I get My Car Resprayed Via Insurance?
Bought a high mileage motor with stonechips to bonnet and front fender.
I want to get them both resprayed by a BMW approved specialist.
I have 7 years NCB protected insurance.
My premium this year will be £350 fully comp.
The respray for both items will cost about £750.
Can I claim for this via my insurance?

The car is on a 55 plate, what if I parked it carelessly and it accidentally grazed the wall causing damage to the fender and bonnet?0

I hope you are not suggesting you will be commiting a criminal act?
Get a life.
It wouldn't be called fraud if it was done accidentally as I stated.
Make another attempt to suggest I am a fraudster I will take legal action against you via tracking your IP address that this site is obliged to provide.0 -

Actually you would because you stated the car was purchased with said chips thus you could not possibly have done it yourself hence any claim against your insurer would be fraudulent.
Or are you now telling us that the chips did not exist when you purchased the vehicle?0 -
Can you re-read my original question?
Again please keep your unfounded allegations of fraud to your own warped little mind.
I am simply asking if the respray can be claimed for against my insurance, obviously the insurance company already know when I purchased the car as the insurance started from that time and they would doubtless use an assesor.
They are not as simple minded as some on this thread.
Why are you obsessed with fraud?...maybe something from your past?0 -
No you cannot get the insurance company to pay for respraying stone chips. If you want a nice shiny car you have two options.
1. Buy a car without stone chip (will cost more)
2. Buy a car with stone chips and pay for car to be resprayed.
You could always give the insurance comapny a call to see if they would pay for it to be done. Whilst your on the phone why not ask them if they would stump up the cash for a week in marbella and a new 50" plasma TV too.0
