ok i got another letter today itsays
you have failed to respond to out previous letters in respect of Parking Charge Notice issued to you in accordance with the parking regulations in force at central six car park coventry.
please note that if full payment of the total amount of £60 is not received ar our offices within 14 days of the date of this letter. WE WILL ISSUE A COUNTRY COURT CLAIM AGAINST YOU.
please note that uif this happens you risk having to pay a much greater sum then that mentioned above , as you may be liable for a court fees and out costs. you should also be aware that you risk having a county court judgment registered against you.
i am thinking of just paying it now and getting it out of the way cuz i really don't want to go to court0 -

ok so i gor another letter
the letter says
i was informed of the breach of regulations in which the vehicle was involved .
you are hereby warned that court action may now be instigated to recover unpaid Parking Notices, unless payment of £60 is made immediately by cheque or postal order to Legion Group PLC and sent to the address. .................... if court action is necessary we will, in addition, ask the court to make an order requiring you to pay legal costs, which we estimate at £40. the court may also fine you.
what should i do now?
It's a civil matter so how could a court fine the OP???
Keep ignoring &, if you're up to it, send a copy of that letter to your local Trading Standards.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

We all know how stressful this can become, which is why PPC's send these kind of letters. They are designed solely to scare you into paying.
Remember this is a civil debt. You won't be in a court room full of men in funny wigs, a jury of twelve true and hearty citizens guided by a judge wearing a black cap.
Vast experience of many others shows that there is a high probability that they will not take you to court, it is just not cost effective.
Only respond if you receive a genuine court summons, and I am sure everyone here will help you defend it. In the unlikely event of you losing, you would only be liable for the original amount plus court costs, which under the small claims track, will be very small. You can even contest this summons without having to attend the court.
On one web site dedicated to fighting these PPC charges, an experienced barrister advised not to pay.So why not follow this excellent advice for just a little longer and see what does, or more likely, doesn't, happen.0 -
The op seems to be exactly the type of person that these blaggers are able to scare into paying. Keep your nerve hunting20 and take the good advice being offered on this forum.
I frequently use a Parking Eye controlled car park and am quite looking forward to the process, if or when, I do inadvertently overstay, or more likely, visit twice in less than 4hours.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
ok i won't pay , i just got scared with that letter coming. i want to thank everyone on here for helping me.0
