Jeez nat - you not made them by now?? :rotfl::rotfl:;)

Fimo soft is much easier - apparently you have to knead the classic one for a while to make it manageable.

Can't see why you couldn't use fimo as well as sculpey together tbh, but I haven't tried sculpey.

Hey, have now made my bride and groom. Because I'm new to the forum, I can't post links but I'll do it cryptically and fool them (hopefully)!

hi, i saw a modelling clay set advertised at lidl for 2.99 and we thought it was worth a shot, as we wondered if we could use this for the middle instead of tinfoil and not use all the expensive fimo as a filler. you get 6 large tubs plus a knife and fork to help with the modelling. my OH made a little jelly baby man and we put in in the oven at the right temp and time as you would for fimo. we expected it to melt (we of little faith:rotfl:) but it hardened brilliantly. so good we might use some of the colours for extra bits on the outside as well. here is the link, it started today instore http://www.lidl.co.uk/uk/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20090521.p.Modelling_Clay_Set.ar11

Could anybody recommend a fimo soft colour to use for blonde hair? The no 15 golden yellow only seems to be available in fimo classic.

I want to make a topper for my daughter's 1st holy communion cake. I'm thinking of doing a praying girl and a little bible, goblet and rosary beads. I've never done clay modelling before so may be a bit ambitious! Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Thank you
