I have ordered my supply from here:

They seemed to work out cheaper for the 7 packs I needed and postage was cheaper.0 -

I would attach it after, as - even though the oven setting is very low - I would think it would at least brown a little. Better to be safe than sorry!0 -

Not sure on that one - why not stick a bit spare ribbon in the oven and see how it comes out to test?
To make my toppers' kilt I cut the clay to shape, then embedded strips of coloured thread to make the kilt pattern - they were ok in the oven.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I spent yesterday evening making my sculpey groom! I bought a "sample pack" of sculpey from john lewis in the sales after christmas, got 30 25g packs for £9 so it is working out quite cheap! He's in the oven at the moment, I will add a picture later when he's done. I'm really pleased with him, although I've done lots of fimo stuff before I've never done anything this big. I tried the foil technique, but couldn't get the body parts the right shape, so ended up using a random colour inside the head and the body, so it is quite heavy. I need to pop into town this afternoon though now to buy some more flesh and ivory to do "me". got to take the opportunity to do this while H2B is away on a stag do, he can't see my dress, even in clay form!
ok then he's cooked and cooled now,0 -
Thats amazing morg monster i hope mine turns out half as good as yours. roughly how many blockdid you use for him?Had a thrifty wedding 17-06-10
expecting triplets in Jul/ Aug 2012 :eek::eek::eek::grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0 -
I only had the "half" blocks (25-30g). i used a whole one of black, a whole one of blue (for the body), most of a silver/grey, 1/2 of ivory, 1/3 of white, most of a flesh one, and a bit of brown, plus tiny bit of red and green for the flower. Could have done with more black probably but managed OK.
fyi he's about 5in tall.0 -
Looks fab! I'm about to try mine and have made a foil body shape for me but don't know how it'll look with fimo on top. Will try to post a pic when done.0

Morg - That is ace, how long did it take you and was it difficult?
I have never used fimo - ever, and after being quoted over £85 for the figures i want from the cake shop i figured i should at least try and make them myself0
