My fitness blog I started a while ago is getting about 40 hits a day but not making any money yet.
Have a look at this article for some tips:

If that's your blog Mse isn't the place to promote itLiverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

That's one of my favourite blog related things - browsing the search logs. Some of the recent search terms are a tad dubious e.g. "finger fun"... Mind you, some of the historic search terms include "stockroom assistant", "lacey clothes" and "pirate xxx".
I actually blog about perfectly innocuous knitting patterns.I must disappoint quite a lot of people! lol
My most common search term was cute sheep!!
My blog is pretty random - just where I air out the craziness!0 -

Oh well!
How can you tell if something from you tube is protected by copyright? I want to link to a music video (not a commercial one) - it is just someone singing a traditional song - but not sure how I can tell if the singer has given permission for it.0 -
Hey guys, I'm looking into starting a blog, just for time pass really and maybe monetize later. I've got a similar question about content from the web. Images and videos? How do you know they are copyright, and is it enough to just have a little comment saying where the image is from?0

Also... If you are talking about an item you have purchased, and u add a link from where you got it. Is that counted as affiliate? Or is it a matter of contacting them first?
I hope I'm making sense:s0 -

I think you just have to use your commonsense, as to whether something is subject to copyright. It's okay to quote a couple of lines of text, with the source, or to post a link to another site. Graphics and videos usually say whether they are protected or royalty-free or whatever. If in doubt: avoid or seek clarification.
An affiliate relationship is one that pays you something - whether money or kudos - simply saying "I bought x at Sainsburys.co.uk" isn't an affiliate scheme.0 -

Google are usually really tight when it comes to movies or music videos from a band sign to a record label. I knew I would likely get declined but chanced my arm anyway :money::santa2:0 -
Adsense don't seem to MAKE sense anymore. I hear endless stories of random banning. They've allowed a lot of crap sites into the programme in the past and it's like they're trying to have a serious cull in the wake of Panda & Penguin.
Be careful about using your Adsense ID on content mill style sites and circumstances where you cannot vet the quality of the cyber-neighbourhood your ads are endorsing.Keep your ads on your own sites basically.
Once you're in the Adsense programme you can begin using your ads on whatever other sites you have by pasting the snippet of javascipt Adsense provides. I think some people are not discerning enough to realise they are breaking t's & c's
It's still a shame to hear about it happening to people who are nothing short of totally compliant while promoting good content, web ethics etc.0
