Because they would hardly be any better off having to share bedrooms here as well :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Well i think unless there is some innapproprate behaviour going on between brother and sister, there really isn't any need to worry.
I think most brothers and sisters are fairly repulsed by the idea of the other having any sort of "relations" never mind having relations with each other.
There is no law about sharing a room so i wouldn't worry. This months aim :- Stick to food Budget / find £100 for my car insuranceMay GC :- £250/£234.55 :T:A:TJune GC :- £150/£127.37:eek:0 -
I just thought their might be laws nowadays due to incest etc seems i am totally wrong, i'm glad that she won't get in trouble my mind is at ease she has being through enough in her life.
Incest will happen if it's going to regardless of people sharing rooms. It's more to do with what's in the people's heads.
I think people need to start counting what they DO have reather than what thay don't have. Compared to many people in the third world they are very rich even with one room to share!

Another option would be to buy some wood and build a base that fits the box room exactly, then get some upholstering foam and cut to size. Again, although not ideal, it must surely be better than sharing with your children.Running_Horse wrote: »What size is this room? Argos used to do a 5 foot 9 by 2 foot 6 childs bed for less than £100 which just fit in the box room in my old house. Might not be ideal for an adult, but your kids would then have their own room to share.Been away for a while.0 -

I think the room is about 5ft by maybe 5.5ft, so it would need a bed custom making i think, a very narrow short one (narrow so the door still opens). I've looked at getting a custom one made for the room, but it's not fiancially viable atm, and i don't have ANY practical skills of my own, i put the curtain rail up and it's fallen down 100 times :rotfl:
i thought perhaps i could get a couple of sets of draw's (of the same height) and somehow make a mattress out of foam etc to go on the top... but it all seemed very complicated tbh i'll most likely just end up getting a sofa bed for the livingroom. This months aim :- Stick to food Budget / find £100 for my car insuranceMay GC :- £250/£234.55 :T:A:TJune GC :- £150/£127.37:eek:0 -
I used to sleep in the 'box room', and my mum had a bed specially made to fit. Not sure how long beds normally are, but this was about 4 inches off that! Good thing I was only a small child!! I think the bed was quite cheap, and was perfect for its purpose.0

The wood and foam would be quite cheap. It would just require a little flirtation with some practically minded DIY bloke to get the job done.Been away for a while.0
