    Evening all!

1 week to go and still on target. Items bought today are below - amount saved on them is in red!

    Lemon sole fillets [strike]£3.99[/strike] £2.29 (£1.70)
    Minced lamb [strike]£2.86[/strike] £2.19 (£0.67)
Hula Hoops 60p (Half price so £0.60 saved)
    Fresh pizza [strike]£2.99[/strike] £1.49 (£1.50)
    Tiger bread rolls x 2 packs [strike]£1.04[/strike] £0.78 (£0.26)

So, I spent £7.35, everything apart from the cripsps was whoopsied, and they were half price!

I also work out my total saving to be: £4.73, which isn't too bad! The pizza was eaten tonight and was very yummy. The rolls will be used tomorrow on our train trip to save buying sandwiches and the meat/fish is in the freezer. I'm please with that shop!

I've been really busy delivering phone books so not had the time to pop on here as much as usual.I've tallied up though and it should be okay for my target for may.I did well at mr t the other day picking up 3 fresh chickens for £1 each, mince for 32p and absolutely shedloads of yoghurts for pennies. You stand still in this house for a second and you're handed a yoghurt! On the plus side,or should that be the minus side,I've lost 5lb in 2 weeks and still 2 weeks to go.I can only stand being on a diet for brief periods before I lose enthusiasm.Back to the phone books,it will pay for the extras on our holiday in June and helps with the weightloss.Have a good weekend folks!

    Hello everyone -

TheBees haven't been on here for a few weeks but we are still keeping note of our grocery spends and failing miserably to keep within our £360 monthly budget. We always seem to be about £20 over.

PLEASE PUT US DOWN FOR £360 IN MAY.

We were over by £40 in April which is terrible!

Just a quick whisper....MrT had 125g jars of Marmite for £1:20, so buying two of those was 7p cheaper than getting our usual 250g jar. I've tried but cannot remember if it's only on offer for x weeks, or a price crash thingy. I'll be attempting to stock up tho either way..HTH

Spent £27 at Mr T's today - plenty of fruit and veg and some toiletries, the rest was just the regular shop.

Will update my total in a sec but I'm doing well this month - first time for everything!

    Hi again peeps,

Forgive me Mrs M, for I have sinned. I have strayed from the path and would like to rejoin please... ;)

I have been keeping a diary and have been noting my spending has gotten out of control again, so would like to come back and keep a track - I probably won't be able to keep up with everything, but any hints and tips that I do must help eh!

I will be budgetting £60 per week - that is for ALL groceries, household products, takeaways (hopefully none of those), personal products, etc. There are 4 of us - Me, hubby, DD-19, who has just moved back home, and DS-15, who eats like a horse!

Look forward to catching up soon,
