It's not the feedback i'm bothered about now it's if she got them and trys to say she didn't get them.

They sold for over £80 so it's a big loss if she says she never received them, i do have proof that sent them tho.

She might be on holiday, she might be ill, she might have internet problems........

I'm sure you'd have heard if there was a problem. No news is good news, so they say :)

I have to admit - being pestered to leave feedback really annoys me and if I were to be asked more than once I wouldn't leave it at all. I wouldn't leave a neg, I'm not that petty, but I certainly wouldn't leave a glowing pos once I'd been bugged into it.

I have to admit it bugs me why people don't leave feedback when i buy something from ebay and after a few days if i'm happy with the product i leave feedback i can't understand why others don't do the same

The straighteners were in perfect condition only used a handful of times and came with a special limited edition bag with ghd straightening sprays, i spent a lot of time packing them carefully i put heaps of effort in to sending them so i would like positive feedback but thats just me i'm fussy lol

Ouch. For £80 I'd have sent them so they were at least covered at an appropriate compensation level, just in case. Also, it's the proof of delivery that counts in a dispute situation, should it arise, not the proof of postage.

Yikes! For future reference anything over £39 should go Special Delivery. If she claims she didnt receive them the most you will get back is £39 for sending by normal post.

Yes ouch about the wrong postal service used. In fact I will up my advice to STOP contacting this buyer immediately, do not email again, do not contact them. You are in a tricky position as buyer knows you are eager to confirm all is well yet cannot fight any claim at all for non receipt. 99.999% of people on ebay are good people, but if you have a dodgy one you are virtually inviting her to make a claim.
She could at least reply and say she received them common decency and all, if someone sent me several emails i would at least reply saying i got them.
Sorry but I don't think you fully understand ebay. Ebay are setting themselves out to be a shopping mall type of place and frankly if every shop I bought from online expected me to email them to confirm receipt I would go crazy,. It is not common decency to contact a seller at all, if she wants to leave feedback she will, if not leave her be. If she doesn't get the item then what then, you are going to be out of pocket, so worry about that only if it happens.

Don't get me wrong - I almost always DO leave positive feedback and I always appreciate it (and mention it) if the seller has gone the extra mile, like wrapped it nicely etc... :) I nearly always leave the feedback on the day I receive my items too but being "nagged" for it is just plain annoying. I had one last week, an email saying "I have left you + feedback, can you do the same please asap"....... I hadn't even received the item at this point!

I agree with Soolin above btw - back off from this buyer now and keep your fingers crossed everything is okay, there's not a lot else you can do :)

Thanks for the tips i will defo do special delivery next time i send something expensive, if ebay are wanting to be more like a shopping mall then they should do away with feedback altogether imo.

Funny thing was she mailed me 1 day after she paid to see if i'd received the money hmmm strange anyway i will keep my fingers crossed she doesn't try and scam me.

btw i have just sold a vax on ebay what is my best option for payment as the buyer has to collect due to size of item
  • On the Vax I'd go for cash on collection if possible.

Less than honest buyers have been known on occasion to pay with Paypal, collect the item, and then later dispute the payment claiming the item was not received. As a seller has no proof of delivery visible online for collection items that Paypal can check, the buyer is refunded by Paypal- leaving the seller with no item and no money to show for the sale either.

Yes she left feedback for others on the 20th of april, i have just looked at feedback she has left and she is very fussy and leaves a lot of complaints about items some with bad feedback so it's not looking good.

I hope she doesn't try to scam me if she does i want the straighteners back i kept a note of the serial number etc so if she tries to replace them with some old clapped out ones i will know
