Congrats on reaching the end of the treatment toots - be sure to rest though!
It's lovely to hear updates on Jacob pigpen what a lovely thought from ds' gf to ask. You're a perfect choice!
Have the whole family (all 3 brothers who no longer live at home for some reason?!) downstairs watching the football atm so we've (darling niece and i) been sent upstairs to avoid arguments, which is why the study and bathroom have almost been finished - being the only Spurs fans in a family of ars*nal fans has at least one benefit!
Works been manic again today, office morale is at an all time low but our manager is finally starting to put things into place which will hopefully improve it - fingers crossed!
Off to walk the dog now otherwise she's going to do me a damage trying to position all 8 stone of herself on my lap!
Lots of love, hugs and *neccessary vibes* to anyone who needs or wants them :A0 -

) Just one thing, don't by really cheap paint - the value type - as it is useless at covering stuff and you will end up doing about 5-6 coats and still be useless, so doesnt work out cheap at all...
and great news about the council tax... :T
Oh I am an expert when it comes to paint fear not!!
filling holes I have done before and it is so infernally BORING.. one wall is done and half another.. I need to sand and paint one wall then move all the furniture round the room to do the next one!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Dinner eaten - somehow. But I've had another phone call. Which, actually, is strangely worrying. This may seem totally off topic but mods, please bear with me, it's not, it's about how I declutter a phone call which I cancelled partway through and then found two messages had been left on the answerphone afterwards.
It's also a tip for those of you in business who may be involved in business continuity plans. Particularly in the light of the fact that WHO have just raised the swine flu thingy to level 5.
The phone rang whilst I was eating dinner. I have two handsets and one headset. Because I wanted to use my hands and not get a crooked shoulder, I picked up the headset.
There then came a recorded message which I didn't immediately disconnect because it mentioned the name of the large financial company for which my DiL works. It then went on to say 'please phone the 0800 number you've been given... this is a practice business continuity call'.... blah de blah de blah.
It then went on to say 'please press 1 to confirm you've received this message or hash to hear the message again'. I couldn't press 1 nor hash because I was using a head set with no connected number pad!
I tried saying 'one', tried saying 'hash' and neither registered. I cut the phone off. Then picked up the handset to hear the two messages left on the answerphone from the point where I cut the phone off. I cannot (and I've tried!) to do the 1 and hash thing but it doesn't work. So I've saved the message for Dil when, ironically, she gets home from work...
Moral of the tale for business continuity people, be a bit more imaginative in your request for responses - don't rely on everyone having a digital phone that they can press a button on. Include a facility for voice response too.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hello all
Just home after drinks for a colleague's leaving do. not sure how I sum up today! Flying wise I did the bathroom before I left for work at 7.50am so am very proud of myself for that
Busy day at work, had my 'meeting' with my boss's boss's boss about my 'outbust' recently....(some of you know about this). Was quite fruitful actually and I was relatively happy with how I handled it. He was open to what I had to say and agrees with much of it. On a different note I found out that shortlisting for the job I went for was only yesterday so it's not a bad sign that i've not heard yet.
DH is about to finish his work for the evening so I'm ready for a cuppa, the great british menu and my bed! look forward to catching up soon. xMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
