    Afternoon

Pilates was lovely. Just having lunch before I go into school.

Mudders I hope your Dad's sight can be saved.

FlyFlo - hugs for you. I do know of 3 people struggling with breathing due to the heavy pollen count this spring. Hope the GP can help.

what do I use to run a clean cycle through my dishwasher and washing machine? I only ever take out the filters and do them never run a clean cycle
I use washing soda - just put in the respective soap/tablet drawers & set the machines on a hot cycle, empty of course :D Washing soda is very cheap I got mine in Wilkinsons a 1kg bag for less than £1 HTH

Washing machine - stick it on the hottest wash (mines a 95 degree one) with soda crystals in the soap dispenser and white vinegar in the softner dispenser

Dish washer - I just sling in a large cup of white vinegar and stick it on a normal cycle.

I've also started using white vinegar as a rinse aid as well. Works just as good as the bought stuff;)

    Sharon,

I have just used vinegar and the washing machine looks great. The dishwasher is still running so will let you know about that,

Hi :hello: Hope you are all having a good Monday, and that everyone enjoyed the weekend. Seeing the midwife at 2, so just thought I would do a quick update. All of Monday's list is completed Toots! :j:D:j I actually did a total blitz of my kitchen yesterday (spent nearly 5 hours in there). It is all sparkly now :D This morning, I had a good tidy up in the children's bedrooms and put all their clean clothes away. I then came down and mopped the kitchen and utility floors and then all the wooden floors. Just waiting for it to dry now before my appointment. I am quite tired now, but I'm glad I used that sudden burst of energy to do something productive!

I had a quick look at the photo from the Flylady Meet in London. Hope you all had a lovely day; I'm sure you did! Its lovely to put faces to names.

Well I had better go and get ready. Hope you all have a good week. Will catch up properly later. Take care xxx

Hi Sharon, welcome along. Another way to put the machine through a cleaning cycle is to put lemon juice in and put it on the hottest cycle. You can put your cleaning cloths in too, but no clothes! The idea is that it cleans all the gunk out of the tubes

Mudbath, Sorry, I think I must have missed a post about your Dad, but I gather they are going to operate again. Hope they can save his sight

My HHC was very productive. Have done lots of washing up, and put lots of bottles/tins in the recycling and slung a couple of tons of rubbish from the kitchen! I love the fact that DH cooks, but I so wish he would throw away the packets, bottles etc that he finishes while cooking. And his veg peelings. I've left those for him to do when he gets home from work. I might relent cos I want to clean the chopping board and work surface.

I'm going to have lunch and maybe do a bit more. Feel more awake now so that's good!

All the best for your Dad Mudbath.

Dinner cooked, eaten and cleared away.

Just took the dog out for a little walk as it has finally stopped raining. She hasn't been too good the last couple of days; very tired yesterday and can't get comfortable today :(
