Which account do people receive the blue card?

The purple card relaces Maestro and the Blue card replaces Solo, so you will get blue card on Step and Savings accounts also on current accounts if you previously had a solo.

Some news to report to other users of the 'Blue' Natwest Visa Debit card, which might be of interest.........

Tesco Online Shopping - Card not accepted.

I seriously hope you are wrong on that one. We used tesco all the time with our old solo card.

I've just tried to put a tesco transaction through and got as far as natwest secure. I couldn't progress the transaction any further though as I don't at present have the £2 tesco pre-authorise available however as it went to natwest secure, I don't see why the transaction would have failed had I gone through with it.

Can anyone else confirm or deny if the card works for tesco online (if not I'll give it a whirl on Tuesday)

If the card dont work online its because the company need to adjust there tables to ensure the BIN number is recognised. Its already been highlighted and is being looked into. You need to advise RBS/Natwest and they will pass the details onto transitional banking and will send them the details on what they need to do to adjust the tables.

Pleased everyone is liking their new debit card. Whether it's blue or purple, it's a damn sight better than my Halifax reward account debit card. Don't think there's anything in the world more bland than that :p

I got as far as the Card Number, code etc and clicked on continue and it highlighted in Red 'Card Not Accepted', so I took the card number out and put in my Visa Credit card and it went right onto the Verified By Visa screen.

I can't try it until next week again as I have now ordered the shopping, but if you find it works for you I would be grateful if you would let me know.

Could this be the reason it won't work at Morrisons Pay@Pump, as it accepts the card, you key in your PIN, it says VisaDebit and a few seconds later it says 'Transaction Cancelled'. ?

I doubt it pay pumps dont have the facility to ring through for authorisation as the blue natwest cards are full auth.

As I got as far as natwest secure and then cancelled the transaction as I knew I had no funds available it's looking promising then. As I said it'll be Tuesday I can try

I think they must have some authorization facility as if I use my credit card I can come home, log into online banking and a £1 authorization is pending.
