I'm so happy
I booked a return flight on Monday for 2 adults and an infant from Manchester and it's only cost us £317!!!! Unbelievable.
Can't wait to fly on bank holiday monday :j0 -
You might want to call me cynical but could Thompson be gambling on the swine flu becoming Pandemic and therefore trying to get some cash in for flights that they may cancel?
If the World Health Org raise the threat level to 6 (were at 4 at the mo) then normally all flights in or out are cancelled.
It could be a ploy by Thompson, please dont give me stick for mentioning this - I think this is a great deal but if it was me then I would make sure my travel insurance covers me BEFORE I book:eek:
Ps. and dont get the kids hopes up until your on the plane and taxi-ing down the runway!0 -
Florida has not any reported cases of Swine Flu.0

Is this Florida in the US where the Federal Gov have declared Swine Flu to be a public health emergency?Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!0 -

You're getting confused between Federal and State Government. Because of the proximity of the US to Mexico the Federal Government has issued an alert. I am currently in Florida and the State obviously is keeping a very close watch on the situation but there are no reported incidents in the State.
The current situation is that one baby from Mexico has died in the US. Five other patients have been hospitalised in the US.
All flights in and out of Mexico are being carefully monitored and cruise lines have altered their itineraries to avoid calling at Mexican destinations.
