Cats are inbred though. That's why they look like they do... as are dogs.

I didn't say that a cat should be put down for killing a bird. I don't tell my friend her cat should be put down for killing them in my garden. I was merely suggesting that if its got to the stage that she is worried about leaving the house then she should get rid of it. Maybe I should have suggested she gave it to a friend?

Yes this is a posting and you didn't think before you posted and now I'm deeply offended. An aplolgy would have sufficed but I see you're not going to go down that road.

Defination of Troll: "An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion."

Exactly what helen has done, Sees a thread about someones cat being threatened, Then makes remarks that could upset people.

    Simples.

controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages. OK I'll hold my hand up to the controversion one, irrelevant - no, off topic - no, inflammatory - ok I apologise to the cat.

Little Chicken has called me all sorts of names, accused me of being inbred because I have trouble spelling and come up with comments that I think are controversial .

I'm struggling to see what the difference is here....

helenjg, you did not say that a cat should be put down because the owner was worried about leaving the house (and has the owner even said that anywhere?), you said that cats are disgusting and anti social and THAT is why it should be put down. Which is completely ridiculous!

You are obviously either here for a reaction (which you are getting since cats DO become part of the family and people will stick up for their cats) or you are a complete loon!
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

.....and this where the cat lovers lose the plot. Cats part of a human family? Is is just cats then or can any animal that shares space be part of the family?
I think you know what she meant ! wild birds are not pets are they ?

And this is where ppl try and pick little things up just to cause an arguement
Let us not all lose touch with the OP ...A reminder is that the O Poster was concerned and rightly so because a neighbour threatned to kill her PET ! this has to be takin seriously it may have been an empty threat but it can be very upsetting and worrying as i know to well so come on people surly nobody on this thread thinks that threatning to kill a pet cat is right ?

the cat is doing what cats do naturally. If someone gets upset by a cat killing a bird then they are too easily upset. For crying out loud it's nature! Should we just kill all natural hunters because they kill another itty bitty animal?
bitty? As in little britain pmsl

Cats are disgusting animals and completely antisocial. I'm really surprised how many cat owners can't see what they are imposing on other people. If I had a dog that went round mauling the neighbours cats then everyone would be up in arms about me hourbouring a brutal animal... well cats are just the same in my opinion.

As for what the neighbour had said to the OP, they were probably overeacting but you need to understand that you're cats behaviour has caused people discomfort so maybe its time to stop being an antisocial neighbour and get it put down?
    .
I wouldn't necessarily call you a troll, more of an Animal Nazi
