I've tried the code 7&1 from Tryckill on my 6230i with no luck.
Also used codes from Nokiafree v3.10 and CyberGSm v5.4 with Box Serial 32821 (both generated same codes but different to the Tryckill codes ) again tried with no luck.
I have crossed check the codes you guys generated for a number of IMI, posted on the forum, for the 6230i and it matches the codes generated from Tryckill. So I am at a loss why the codes I got from Tryckill didn't work.
Sanity check: My IMI is 358827000743702 on Tesco network and the codes I got from Tryckill
#pw+707320326535535+7# & #pw+855831673340244+1# which I suspect will be what you get from your generator.
I have had my 5 tries and now the phone is restricted.
I know I have to go down the cable route now but my questions are:
1-Can I used the same USB connecting cable that can be used to connect the phone to PC for down/up loading of photos/music, for clearing the luck ? (if yes this will be great)
2- If this wire is no good any cheap site for purchasing it or even a wiring diagram anywhere I could use to improvise myself and make the USB cable up .
3-Assuming I have got the cable sorted any recommendation for a good site for down loading appropriate software for doing the unlocking?
4- Could the connection to the PC for unlocking purposes not be made via either Bluetooth or in fact the Infra red facilities that this phone offers? That'll save on the cable cost !
Thanks Guys

the codes should have been
#pw+297 215 517 534 125+1#
or
#pw+494 597 316 257 307+7#
to do a cable unlock you also need hardware like neelix/prodigy/jaf/superclip etc which are to expensive for a 1off unlock.
best pay a tenner to a phone stall to do it0 -
Hi - could anyone give me the unlock code for Nokia 6600. This is locked to Vodafone. My 15 digit number needed is 353383007904306.
Also have looked through this thread and am a bit unsure as to how I go about unlocking as the message is showing SIM not valid so don't know where to enter the code. If you could just show me whereabouts to look or send a link to the correct place.
Much appreciated.

Thanks Drahcir,
Hind sight is a wonderful thing…. Should I have posted a request on the forum like everybody else…..errm?
I guess there is usually a small price to pay for somethings one learns…
Working backwards from the code you gave I guess the MCC+MNC must have been 23400003 with Box Serial 32821 which gives

#pw+159 824 176 760 337+2#

#pw+956 532 474 427 346+6#

You say [to do a cable unlock you also need hardware like neelix/prodigy/jaf/superclip ] so it is n't just the case of hooking it up to the PC via USB/RS235 and taking care of the unlock via software?0 -

there is no s/w that will work with cable alone for these (unlike earlier nokias)0
