Hi,

My wife has a 6230i which originally came on O2 (still shows O2 startup screen etc). She has been using it OK with a Virgin SIM, but gets a few weird problems such as not being able to save new contacts to the SIM.

I wanted to try unlocking codes to see if this helps, but have tried three codes from the different methods shown in the MSE article. It obviously already has a non-O2 SIM in the phone, but isn't asking for a 'restriction code'.

The IMEI is 3570 9700 4575 606

The serial on the box is 0043591


Any help greatly appreciated !

o2 contract phones arnt locked and yours doesnt seem to be
the codes on payg should be
#pw+139 524 355 747 036+1#
or
#pw+759 390 372 755 207+7#

have you set the phone to save to sim instead of phone memory?
