  • Hi everyone, sorry I've been AWOL. Thanks Cat for your lovely PM, it was so nice to hear from you. I've had a cold and then went away for a couple of days, which was lovely. Still feeeling woolly headed from the cold and am trying to stop myself sliding into depression, so sorry I've not posted much.
    Well done one and all on your saving, and especially to Pockets. You are doing really well! Why not split the money - half to the mortgage, and half to something you can enjoy, so you feel the fun of having saved the money but also pay off some mortgage which will benefit you later.

    I've not really saved anything but have a few coins in my purse so will pop those into my pot!

    A request from me: please make it clear if you want me to add your figures to the front page totals. If it's not specifically requested, I'm not really sure if you are just saying £6.45 today to the pot, or £6.45 banked. I will assume you are just saying the former - and will only update the front page if you say you've banked some money and ask for your total to be updated.
    Sorry, I just get confused and don't know what you are saying! Thanks

  • Hi everyone,

    I am not doing so well this month, I have only got £2.30 so far. Although technically that is because I am being really careful and not spending so much over all, so I suppose it's not too bad.:)
    LBM January 2010 Debt £22,239.51 Mortgage £120,999
    10K in 2010 = £1520.48 15.2% LOAN = £11,819.92 / £1055.35
    CC1 = £940.57 / £67.06 CC2 = £2994.71 / £156.43
    CC3 = £3494.00 / £239.93 CC4= £2678.00 / £159.00 Mortgage = £120,999.00 / £0.00 [STRIKE]O/D = £126.81[/STRIKE]
    Total = £143,238.51:eek: / £1520.48 :j= £141,805.35 1.06%
  • hi wannabedebtfree it's still a good amount, don't be to down about it, I'm sure it will improve slowly. just carry on being careful and the pennies will look after the pounds.(so they say)

  • Hi everyone

    been really busy today have listed a few items on ebay to help raise some funds, have got one item almost sold finishes tomorrow, also good shop today total bill came to 37.17 but once the vouchers and saving stamps had come off, total spend today 17.16 inc petrol, not bad for me, still saving all those loose bits so hopefull should have a resonable figure at the end of the month,

  • Well done Ruby on your ebaying and saving money from your shopping etc. That's really good!
    WannaBe, you are doing well with not overspending -that seems to be my problem at the moment, my pot isn't filling up much because I've not spent any money, so don't have any change to save! Not very useful for this challenge, but good for our finances!

    Hope everyone is having a good month - this is the worst month of the year IMO, but don't worry, spring is on the way! We are nearly out of winter, so keep going a bit longer and sunnier days will be here!
